Okay, I'm not sure if anybody wrote this but, Floyd is the WBA Super Champion at 154 and Alverez is the regular champion at 154. Floyd is also the WBC Diamond Belt Champion at 154 and Canelo is the regular WBC Champion at 154. I know Sulaiman said that Canelo would have to relinquish one of these belts, but doesn't he have to fight Floyd anyways or can he avoid him for a couple years and fight #1 contenders or contenders within the top 10?
The different organizations, I don't mind at all, especially when you have the opportunity to win them all. I only recognize 4 of them anyways. But it gets confusing when you have 2 or 3 fighters at the same weight class considered champions of some sort by the same boxing organization.
It just appears to me that with these "Super", "interim", "Diamond" and "emeritus" status championship belts, the beltholders can avoid each other by fighting lesser opponents or stay on the shelf with an injury until everyone beats each other and they don't have to fight none of the top fighters. I don't think the WBO or the IBF has done this yet and hopefully they won't.
