He said this back in July though. His opinion might have likely changed now that the ref and judges have been named.

I don't see the benefits in robbing Floyd. If they really want Canelo to break through to the mainstream media and be seen as the baby face, why would they give him the Timothy Bradley treatment?

Makes no sense. If its razor thin close, then yeah, give it to Canelo. Otherwise, you'll just get negative attention.

I saw this as well. He makes sound points. I assume it will be an "ODH SD" where one judge gives it to Canelo the same way one judge had ODH winning.

In this day and age with so few bankable stars you get the sense that promoters will pull **** like this to get more money down the road.

I dont think manny getting robbed by the judges in the bradley fight was an accident. I can see GBP doing same.

The difference is people didn't like Bradley in the first place and Pac is a likeable guy. Canelo is already very popular and people would be very happy to see Floyd get robbed after all the **** he talks...

Bradley was never liked to begin with...
If anything the robbery of Floyd would be something cheered
No way Canelo gets the same treatment, and plus they would be doing it to a VILLIAN in Boxing, Manny was the good guy.

And no one never likes to see the good guy get screwed over.

Mayweather is worth too much for it to be worth it. His entire intrigue is based off his undefeated record, theres no way they would try to rob him for canelo's benefit. Who is popular but not 250mil popular.

If they can rob HOF'ers like JMM and Pac then anyone can get robbed.

I would say a robbery sets up an even bigger rematch

Can't rule that out as a possibility. Canelo will likely be stepping his game up and looking to, if worse comes to worst, make it as close as possible. I think that's part of the game plan.

Good points. As a "hardcore" fan, I don't want their to be any controversy at all. If someone beats Floyd, I want it to be 100% without a doubt.

The amount of robbery threads on this site would be borderline demented.

I've pondered this a lot, Canelo is young, very talented, good looking, has a nation behind him and is VERY marketable. If this fight is as close as the Oscar fight I can see Canelo getting the decision.
