Understood. But then ask yourself who presents a more challenge to floyd at 147 or 154 then alvarez. Bradley? Maidana?. Everybody has a punchers chance but you have to be able to land clean. Floyd has a pretty decent chin so it will take more then just one flush shot to put him away. Given his defense I don't see him getting caught too many times with his punches. Even though its a catch weight fight Floyd is still fighting a younger, prime, bigger, undefeated champion, compared to Floyds usualy old, past their prime, younger fighters as Floyd been accused of only fighting previously. And it also looks more impressive as he is doing this outside of his prime years. Remember he is 36. But haters arent realizing this because they are clouded by their own hate, not realizing he is taking the risks they wanted him to.

he is but i dunno how other jww can have success at ww and not mathysse...alright, if you dont worry about canelos power then what else makes you think he's the biggest challenge for floyd then ?...he does'nt have the actvity nor the stamina and certainly not the skills to outbox floyd...lolI thought mathysee was a junior welter. When I say 147 or 154 I mean fighters who actually campaign at that weight. I wouldn't worry too much about Canelos power because of Floyd's defense. If he applies the same defense he did against Guerrero, which I'm pretty sure he will, it will be tough for Canelo. Lets not forget about Canelo's tendency to gas out. Will he really be able to chase Floyd around for 12 rounds? Bradley will bring the fight to Floyd but his come forward style will play right into his counter punching. Thats why I think Canelo is the best challenge. He may be slower but he has power and can box. I still think he loses mainly because of his staminaComment

Him not being a star won't attract Floyd. You know he is all about the almight dollar. Maybe if Bradley beats Marquez they can fight. It would be another undefeated showdown once again. Or maybe even Amir Khan, but thats pushing it. He really is running out of options when you think about it. Maybe Martinez will come down but I don't think Floyd should take that fight. People will say he beat a weight drained Martinez if he fought him and won.Comment

Floyd called Pacquiao the "king of the catchweights"...
But Floyd has shown himself to be the "queen of the catchweights".Comment

A Canelo at 154 would have been a better candidate than the 152 version of himself but that is besides the point. We are stating the issues that Canelo has and some are going to be very difficult (I would say impossible) to overcome in such a short period of time.Understood. But then ask yourself who presents a more challenge to floyd at 147 or 154 then alvarez. Bradley? Maidana?. Everybody has a punchers chance but you have to be able to land clean. Youth: Youth is good to have but in this case it also translates to a deficit in certain areas. Mainly inexperience but in Canelo's case, he also has stamina issues. Athletes who do overcome issues such as stamina do it with time (age). There was a fight where Roy Jones pointed it out where Canelo was fighting Hatton. Roy Jones said "Hatton should take advantage of Canelo's stamina issues in which can happen to young fighters".
Beforehand, Canelo needed to fight good quality fighters who are slicker and have good movement. Canelo does not have that kind of fight under his belt. Check Canelo's recent resume. Most fight flat-footed or like to attack. Even Trout who knew he was behind had to fight aggressively. Floyd will use the ring and at that level, for Canelo that will be a new experience.
For my liking it happened too soon. Wished Canelo had more time and more fights to see if he would ever be ready for this kind of fight. I said this BEFORE the fight was made and consistently saying it now.Comment
