Add the 300k they fell short on the Guerrerro fight and its 1.9 million to break even for the year
This fight does nowhere near that. I say this fight does 1.3 million tops. Same as Pacquiao-Mosley
Especially if you factor in the price of PPV and it being on SHO

No he will not, the site is clueless who said that. Floyd will get a guarantee of 40m from the revenue Ppv no matter what. After that if the fight does certain numbers Floyd will get a PvP bonus of around 5m. After that Alhaymon will get his 15 percent, golden boy will get their fee as will the tax man. All in all expect Floyd to take him 25-30m tops.
Showtime need this to do well, the lost around 15m on the last fight, another failure, expect Floyd to be fired as well ad the boxing heads of Showtime imo

Thats not counting sponsors, and sales at the MGM.

This is some real money Mayweather is scoring here. Now I can understand why, he wasnt ok for the suppose purses they were offering him for the Pacquaio fight.
Then the fun begins. The IRS and local taxes come to $36 mill, the Promoter takes 25% of the balance, (or maybe of the gross I don't know how they do their accounting) then add another 10% for camp, trainer, cutman etc.
Roughly that should leave about $38 mill , say $40 mill. From this comes Mayweather's guarantee...... and from what's left he'll probably get another 70-80%. making his total about $38 mill.
And Showtime is left with ........ the gratification that they put on a big show with little or no loss.
Personally I doubt that boxers, no matter how well paid, end up with nearly the amounts that fans believe they get. I think it's to the advantage of the fighters and promoters to let the fans believe that they make that much. A charade. They make plenty, but just not what we are led to believe.
I may have made a big error somewhere and everything is just approximate and guesswork. There are so many imponderables that the accounting is very much like movie production "accounting".
i just now see that someone mentioned Al haymon whom I forgot completely. So perhaps Mayweather will be lucky to reach $30 mill.

So he would only get 10 mil on top if as you say, the numbers add up to 50 Million. I use to see a lot of Floyd fans confuse what a guarantee is...

The Mayweather- Pacquiao fight is universally recognized as the most demanded fight for almost all sport and fight fans.
It definitely would have a larger base than Oscar vs Floyd + the Filipino buys and more hype. Pacquiao is a risk and a threat to everybody if he can hurt you and finish you off. He hurt marquez several times in all their fights but marquez is too tough to go away, nobody knows if floyd can take pacquiao when he forces a firefight. He would have been Floyd's most dangerous fight.
It would have Broke 2 mil minimum and there's a very good chance it would have broken the record.
And he ran away because of a PEDs test that he now demands of Rios how contraindicative is that !
