Mayweather demanded testing because he thought Pac was too good to be normal. That right there is a compliment to Pac.

ha, or maybe mayweather walked away because he couldnt get the extra tests he wanted, floyd was the 1 who was not prepared to fight with the same rules he fought every fight before that. why is that? why did floyd need these extra tests? short answer is because he was scared to fight pacman after watching him decapitate hatton and "walk through cotto"

I personally think it will be a PPV success. Canelo is pretty popular with Mexican's unlike Guererro. There's a reason why May has been picking mainly Mexican fighters.

Add the 300k they fell short on the Guerrerro fight and its 1.9 million to break even for the year

This fight does nowhere near that. I say this fight does 1.3 million tops. Same as Pacquiao-Mosley

I think 1.6 mil is about right. Canelo is a star in his own right and is the biggest challenge Floyd has fought in years.

Being on showtime ppv doesn't matter, you can still order showtime PPV without having showtime, same with HBO.

Mayweather have a $40 million guarantee purse for the Canelo fight. According to forbes they are expecting 1.6 Million PPV sales at a minimum, wich in terms of $$ will amount to $105 million and $50 million of those would be for Mayweather. Thats not counting sponsors, and sales at the MGM.

The Pacquiao fight would have broke 2 mill.

The Mayweather- Pacquiao fight is universally recognized as the most demanded fight for almost all sport and fight fans.

It definitely would have a larger base than Oscar vs Floyd + the Filipino buys and more hype. Pacquiao is a risk and a threat to everybody if he can hurt you and finish you off. He hurt marquez several times in all their fights but marquez is too tough to go away, nobody knows if floyd can take pacquiao when he forces a firefight. He would have been Floyd's most dangerous fight.

It would have Broke 2 mil minimum and there's a very good chance it would have broken the record.

That's in the past now, never will happen so there's absolutely no point in bringing it up! Marquez put the nail on the coffin with that overhand right!!
