I think Floyd will squirm out of the fight even though it makes sense. If he is so great and has a 154 lb belt, why couldn't he defend it? He and his fans proclaim his greatness all the time, he should be able to fight someone at the 154 lb weight division.

All this about Canelo outweighing him by 20-25 lbs. If he makes weight the day before, I don't think it would be too smart for him to add 25 pounds in one day. That would probably have adverse effects. Beside all Floyd's fans think it is easy work. Floyd would never try to KO this kid. He would run and try to land isolated punches and get a points decision. He would not stay long in punching range with Canelo. He stayed away from Guerrero 85% of time and Guerrero is not a real big puncher.

I think Canelo is a real threat to Floyd, and Floyd senses it himself. He'll be real slow to accept this challenge. In fact he'll find a way to not accept the challenge.

So I want to see Canelo actually defend against whoever the haters claim he is ducking. Lara, Molina, Cotto and whomever at 154 lb. Then he'll naturally get bigger and try to fight at middleweight or above. Haters are being irrational demanding he fight at 168 lbs now when he has only fought at 154 and should make some more defenses there.

Schaefer already said weight was not an issue despite what Floyds dad is saying. You guys always call his dad a crack head, now you want to put so much into what he says when it makes Floyd look bad, but at other times noone listens to him and says he's full of ****. Everyone defending Floyd keep saying his dad said this, so don't read in to it. When ever his dad or uncle come out with some lame arse comment about Floyd being able to beat this guy and that guy it's held as Gospel, all of a sudden his dad don't know **** about his son?

Fact is, if you follow boxing and you know what Floyd has said and done in the past, this isn't that hard to believe. Floyd has skipped out on far too many fights and all the Maynerds chat the usual ****, "He would have beat them anyway" as if that makes any sort of sense.

Everyone is losing their patience with Floyd, the Guerrero fight got lots of critical stick and it wasn't a huge financial hit either. Floyd knows he needs a legit name in at least one of his next two fights. I maintain Alexander/Khan will be his next opponent but Canelo will be down the line because Floyd will have nowhere else to go.

floyd is not a real 154 fighter and he did not fight cotto to get a belt at 154 it just so happened that cotto had a belt at 154 but that was not mayweathers goal to get a belt at 154

Here is the point people are trying to make.

If canelo comes down to 147 he's still gonna fluctuate by 12lb

Meaning on fight night he will be 159lbs anyway.

IF canelo comes in at 154 then hes gonna come in at 166lbs on fight night.

Mayweather 151 MAX
CANELO 147 = 159
CANELO 154 = 166

if Floyd wants to fight canelo it should be now that canelo is still learning,although he beat trout I don't think he looked that great,nothing about him that night that stood out and made me think he'll beat Floyd,but I think they will never fight,canelo can fight guys like winner of lara/angulo,maybe give trout a rematch,keith Thurman,maybe if cotto wins his next fight canelo can face him,because if he fights Floyd and wins people will say he was too big,if he goes down to 147 or a catchweight he'll be weak,nothing but excuses so he should just stay at 154 and think of facing others

NO ONE is dumb enough to think that negotiations take place WITHOUT Canelo, WITHOUT his manager, WITHOUT Floyd because that is exactly what Schaefer said! 3 people from Team Canelo/Team Floyd already confirmed Mayweather wants the fight below 154. It would take an idiot to believe that the fight is negotiated without Floyd present, without Canelo present, or ANYONE from Canelo's team!!! No one is THAT ***ING ******! Man, just some weeks ago Schaefer came out fuming mad dispelling the weight issue and that he and Haymon are working hard to make the fight happen. And I don't doubt they want it made.

Question is who is blocking it? Showtime wants it. GBP/Haymon want it done.

What's happening? Why do everything has to be kept secret in this goddamn group? This is sport. It's for fun, entertainment and recreation. It's supposed to bring people together from all walks of life around the globe.
