Rigondeaux went into the fight as a big underdog with a lot of people expecting him to lose. Had he lost he would have been written off as a nobody but the win has elevated him where he is considered one of the very top boxers skill wise. I don't think Mayweather has ever entered a fight with those type of circumstances. Career wise I don't think anything on Mayweather's resume was as important.

It's close, but I think the corrales win has a slight edge because 130 was corrales' beast weigh. Donaires best was at 118 or 15.

Why who did he beat at those weights?
        118 - Narvaez & Montiel
        115 - Concepcion?

He hardly had any fights at those weights & the only decent win off the top of my head is Montiel.

He didn't clear any of those weight divisions, he cleared 122 as Mares went up in weight and Rigo was the only one left.

Not really .... Corrales was severely drained going into that fight. Also, had the flu that week and was getting ready to do a stint in jail.

I'm not a fan of Nonito, I don't like his style but he is a moster. And I'm from argentina and I can say you that Narvaez don't want nothing against Donaire, Arce or Darchinian. he accepted the fight now that is old to collect a good pay, and not lose the undefeated in the divitions that he reigning, is one of the best technical boxers I saw, but never wanted to take any risk. In the case of Montiel and Concepcion I don't know but I do not think they would have been dangerous fights for Nonito

Floyd has no 1 on his resume to compare to what Nonito did or Rigo. Floyd also has no career defining win, nor any great defining performances against a top notch prime elite fighter. Excpet for Corrales and Castillo of course. Which Floyd turned out bigger than by about 2 weight classes.

The problem with Donaire is he walks around 140 to 145 than would suck down to fight fly weights this what a call a fraud and he was exposed by picking on the wrong little dude

Mayweather woke up a few of people up against Chico.

I think Floyd was even considered a underdog in Vegas for the fight. Just off the top of my head. Might be wrong.

At the time, Diego was a top 10 P4P guy, think Ring had him in the top 5, and Floyd just dismantled him.

This was at 130, by the way.

So I'd say yes, Mayweather has a comparable win.

Only in the minds of idiots has Floyd failed to achieve greatness. Thankfully the opinions of idiots don't really matter.
