Ward's actually in a tough spot right now, and its his skills that put him there. So far it doesn't look like Ward is going to move up or down in weight and seems very comfortable to rule the 168s, but there's no good fights for him at 168 - Any rematches are already written off because of how completely Ward shut them out. Ward is actually now dependent on jr middles and light heavies to come to him because its sure that Ward won't go north or south of 168 himself. Just my opinion.

Great move by Ward! Martinez should have done the same move when Sulaiman pulled that same scum bag move on him, or right after Martinez beat his boy(Chavez jr).. More fighters have to make these types of moves to show these leech organism's(WBC, WBA, IBF & WBO) that they need to understand that their belts don't make the fighter, the fighter is the one that makes the belt & gives it it's value...

After consultation with my manager James Prince and attorney Josh Dubin, it is my belief that the WBC did not have the right to strip me of my World Title and name me Champion Emeritus. We voiced our position to the WBC, and after several discussions, have agreed to disagree with their interpretation of the facts and rules. In our opinion, we feel strongly that I did not violate the rules in any manner whatsoever.

Thank you Andre Ward for having the intestinal fortitude to stand up to the back door politics of the WBC and boxing as a whole. Hopefully you and your lawyers pursue this legally to ensure Sulaiman abides by his own rules without being bias to any particular boxer.

Watch out Ward.. Chavez Jr. is coming to steal your titleDont be surprise if Chavez fights Rubio or Vera at a catch weight.. Rodriguez and Bika would give him a tough fight
