Fans thinking a fighter will win and actually doing it are two different things. I have long thought Matthysse was the best 140 pounder and have often said how good I think he is. The day before Matthysse KOed Peterson A new guy on this board named Anderson Silva or what ever that MMA guy's name is PMed me to tell me what a bum Matthysse was. He said I was a moron for supporting a bum that lost to Judah and he was laughing his ass off. I don't know this guy but I made $1000 betting on Matthysse so I am laughing at this moron now. If Lucas beats Garcia he has proven completely that he is the king of the 140 pounders. That is ten times better than having the majority of the fans think he is the best. There are always some fans saying Matthysse is an overrated hypejob that lost to Judah and Alexander. A good win over Garcia should shut most of them up.

Danny isn't a bum, he is a pretty good boxer. He amost got taken out by Judah and that was with Judah being timid for most of the fight. Matthysse is going to drop bombs on him and break him down over the duration of the match.

It will be good match and one that needs to happen.

If garcia is truly a bum and only has one good win on his resume by way of lucky ko and his other noticeable wins are against washed up ancient fighters. What does a win over garcia do for Mathysse legacy wise ?

I understand it wraps things up at 140 blah blah blah.

But if Mathysse beats him in the fashion 90% of the posters on this site feel he will ... Are we going to still call garcia a bum ? Or do the revisionists put garcia on a pedestal ?

Why do you think he did not want to risk his ****ty WBC interim title? it gives him access to a fight with Garcia,he clearly wants the WBC belt,I don´t think he´s gonna change his mind because you don´t like it.

So you agree, you think he beat devon. Judah was also an obvious win unless you're one of those that think running around and jabbing into the air is "boxing"

Such a ridiculous statement to make

Lucas has fought a runner in Judah, a clincher in Devon, an inside fighter in Peterson, and a mover in Ajose. Now which styles has Garcia fought?

He also fought a tall/lanky boxer in Dallas and a combination puncher in Soto. He's seen a variety of styles, maybe none exactly like Garcia.

I agree with the TS. He's better off fighting Berto at 147 then if he wins Floyd has to fight him next.

                  It's the law.

Mathysse is on whole nother level when it comes to stanning. Not even close.
So you're a boxingscene-hipster? Matthysse is too mainstream right now after a solid win that displays his great power
