What does garcia do for Mathysse ?

Why does anyone care about this matchup when the overwhelming majority of posters believe Mathysse steam rolls garcia and ko's him early ?

If garcia is truly a bum and only has one good win on his resume by way of lucky ko and his other noticeable wins are against washed up ancient fighters. What does a win over garcia do for Mathysse legacy wise ?

I understand it wraps things up at 140 blah blah blah.

But if Mathysse beats him in the fashion 90% of the posters on this site feel he will ... Are we going to still call garcia a bum ? Or do the revisionists put garcia on a pedestal ?

Predicting a one-sided outcome doesn't mean that a fight shouldn't happen.

I personally don't think that it'll be one sided, and even if it was, what better option does Matthysse have at 140?

I get that. But it's already a foregone conclusion Mathysse destroys garcia. I don't know about you but I'm more interested in watching fights where I'm unsure of what the outcome will be.

Bum or not, it puts closure to who the best 140 lb. fighter is. It also gives either guy a ton more exposure with a victory, and makes the Mayweather fight, that much more appealing.
