A lot of the same people knocking garcia will be building him up if he loses to make Mathysse look like the monster he is.

And I still laugh at the people who think Lucas will kill everyone in the history of the world, but he did earn respect for killing Peterson like that. And after seeing Peterson, a good fighter, get smoked like that....we all know Ajose is better than anyone thought he was. That guy took shots for Lucas round after round, even getting some of his own in. Ajose would probably beat half of the Top 10 at 140.

I'm really not lol. He doesn't really the fit the profile of fighters I typically like rigo,whitaker,Crawford,Mayweather etc... I just think the kid gets ****ted on around here like crazy and prior to the Peterson fight I didn't think Mathysse had done enough to deserve some of the praise he gets.. You would think the sweat off the guys nuts is the nectar of the gods.

Yea so? He's been on a tear and has destroyed everyone since Devon. He has 24 KDs in his last 11 fights and has KO'd or KD every single fighter he has every faced. Garcia get hit flush a lot and has shown that he cannot fight going backwards. Its a totally plausible outcome for Lucas to stop him

I think the winner of Lucas-Garcia can establish themselves as elite though.

I mean Garcia would have wins over Morales, Khan, Judah, and Lucas. Not bad.

Or Lucas would have an arguable win over Judah, and wins/should have been wins over Alexander, Peterson, Ajose, and Garcia.

Oh and side note....Ajose is far better than anyone thought. The fact that he actually hit Lucas back and was able to stay in there for as long as he did, a tough son of a b*Tch.

I've watched the Ajose about 6-7 times, and man, I'm always amazed at the shots he was able to absorb.

I'm surprised more people haven't noticed Danny absolutely cannot fight going backwards. Seriously, get him going backward and he's toast, especially against a killer like Lucas. I was a big Lucas critic, because everyone was hyping him up after beating Soto, Ajose, and Dallas (though Ajose is far better than anyone thought probably)....but after seeing him do that to Peterson, in a 50-50 fight going in, he earned respect.

Soto took a lot of big shots too... Just saying. I'm kind of on the fence I think we might also have to start taking a closer look at Lamont's chin too.

This fight needs to happen. It's a crime if it doesn't. It would be the 2nd time in a row that the two best at 140 didn't fight (Bradley-Khan in 2011, Garcia-Lucas in 2013). It needs to happen.
