Lucas is far more reckless with his offense however.
I've reviewed the last night fight.
In the first round, Lucas patiently tested Peterson's reactions to a variety of punches... Lucas realized that Lamont was carefully defending against right punches, and then Lucas eventually caught Peterson with a powerful left hook (with only 10 seconds before the bell) and also hit him with a right hook just during the bell ring. After that, I suspect that Lucas just lured Lamont with looping punches, in order to catch him precisely with that short left hook which put him down with 40 seconds remaining in the 2nd round (in that round, I saw Peterson poorly defending himself against left hooks).
In the 3rd round, Lucas mostly looked to land left uppercuts and hooks -- with the hooks finally delivering the brutal stoppage.
To conclude: in my opinion Matthysse is not just "a beast", he coolheadedly followed the game plan he could figure out during the fight.

      Look who Garcia dropped though?

Khan coming off a loss, Morales and Zab Judah.

I can show you several videos of Khan getting KTFO before he even fought Garcia. I'm not just talking about dropped. I'm talking about KO'd. That's not even counting the times he was hurt/wobbled and dropped.

Point is, Garcia has been fighting chumps. There's nothing he brings to the table that will trouble Mathysse. Absolutely nothing. That left hook from Garcia will be taken with a Coke and a smile.
Several of khan being kod? He's only been kod by Prescott n garcia so there's only 2 professionally

I for one am simply not gonna forget everything I know about anything just to ride a Mattysse high. Danny brings his timing, countering, balance and technical advantages to this fight. I won't pick a winner cause I think it's a pretty even fight.

I'm also still perplexed about this "Danny isn't tough as Lamont" myth that's flying around. Lamonts been down 4 times for sure and is on record for 6 at least, before he faced Lucas.
Garcia possessing the equalizer could be his saving grace or it will lead to his undoing. He either catches Matts with his left hook and drops him or he becomes predictable with it and get countered.

In my opinion, getting KO'd with headgear and 16 oz gloves is worse than professionally. At least when you're in the pros, an argument can be made that you feel the punches more. But when you have on headgear and some big ass gloves and you're still doing the Zab Judah all over the place, that's a problem.

I'm not saying he doesn't have a good chin but the fact is it is relatively untested. Cotto and Mayweather took left hands from Judah just aswell.... are they granite chinned??
Mayweather got dropped, and Cotto got wobbled badly.

Garcia would have dropped Lamont and i'm sure of that

Khan has only been KO'd once at a much lighter weight which he outgrew

Garcia was the only one since Prescot to hurt him that bad and Khan was a much better fighter when he fought Garcia.

I think you underestimate Garcia power, I don't care how strong Lucas chin is, if he jumps in and gets caught with a full throttle hook, he will get hurt.

I think Garcia will come in more powerful than ever against Lucas.

Exactly I'm not saying garcia can't lose because matthysse has power in both punches but to say Danny has no power or chance is ludacrous. Imo garcia will still be undefeated after a fight with matthysse

This was before Prescott. Same punch as Prescott and Garcia:

This guys was the originator. Several years before Garcia's left hook.
