I've never seen anyone have a hard time landing on Garcia. Every fight I've ever seen he gets hit a lot, far more than Matthysse does. Matthysse catches punches, rolls them, ducks them, considering he's always moving forward he does not get hit that much. Certainly not as much as Garcia.

And Matthysse's straight right, his best punch, doesn't loop at all. It's fast, it's sharp, and it's accurate.
Yeah, people seem to have forgotten that Garcia was also brought in as simply an opponent for Morrales' 140 title shot. Garcia catches punches, rolls them, parries them also. But he does it better. With his feet closer and with better balance. he times his shots and Mattysse missed with wide right hands just last night. Fact is, they both get wide on occasion. I see you pointing out Danny while totally ignoring the fact that Lucas does too.

Then you're acting like all Danny throws are looping punches. That's not true. Both of them loop, or throw them straight. Lucas is far more reckless with his offense however.

These are the precise images that I was referring to in another posting here -- Garcia's face is worth all the money...

The sport of boxing to date badly needs Lucas to act like Mike Tyson once did...

Matthysse is pure gold in the business environment of boxing to date...

This is also very true. Timmy Bradley dropped him twice as did Ortiz. That's 4 bonified drops. Khan's are debatable, but people have completely developed amnesia all o a sudden.

        • Garcia stopped glass jaw Khan and old Terrible, big deal
he can't fuck with Lucas and will be destroyed
praying GB stays strong and carries through with the fight
and Garcia better not toss the green belt to duck out if they do
Garcia is decent, but Lucas has the body attack and power to end him

With Garcia’s win last month over Zab Judah, and with Matthysse’s win over Peterson, Golden Boy Promotions is looking to put the two together this September.

“It’s the fight I’ve been looking for,” Matthysse said. “We’ve talked about it. I was told that if I get past this [Peterson], that there’s a likelihood that I’ll be fighting Danny Garcia. That’s who I want.” [Click Here To Read More]

            • Lucas is right on the money for saying that about Garcia. Gotta cheat to beat Lucas. Powerful punches and strong chin will make any boxer run around for 12 rounds. I am sure Angel/Danny is thinking of a plan to avoid Lucas right now..

I think this is true, but it's what makes him harder to read/anticipate because he will take those risks that others can't or won't. It's up to Garcia to take advantage in those moments or pay for not doing so. Garcia is gonna be forced to play the exchange game and he won't have a reach advantage to fall back on like LP did. He will be in the line of fire all night long.

                • I consider my self a huge Garcia fan but Lucas will KO him in about 5 rounds.
I still hope Danny doesn't avoid him because these are the fights that make boxing such an amazing sport and that's what champions are supposed to do.
I don't think Danny will avoid him though.

You say that now but when Morales fought maidana who was the strongest puncher everyone said he couldn't take maidanas punches n he sis. Then when garcia hurts him drops him n then stops him in second bout all of a sudden Morales can't take a punch.
