He's referring to D-MAC who knocked out Groves in sparring. That's been going round a while.

Speaking of which, notice not a peep from Froch about D-MAC? Who has been giving the business to Kessler in sparring according to sources and was kicked out of camp a few times for helping him prepare for Froch.

Dont blame Froch for feeling a little angry about this but at the same time understand why Booth would do it.

His fighter comes first, this is great experience for Groves...

That comes down to promoters, it's a GBP-TR style war between Warren and Hearn. Froch would wreck Cleverly.

        ----------------------------------

I don't agree - Cleverly is a big LHW, v tall, huge frame and strong and has a great chin with a big engine, I think Cleverly may edge Froch.

Eddie Hearn does not expect a fight between Carl Froch and Bernard Hopkins to come to pass. Hopkins, at 48 the oldest world champion in history, said last week Froch was 'top of my wish list' despite the American now campaigning in a higher weight class. But that difference in weight - the Briton is a natural super-middleweight - means a fight between the pair is unlikely. And Froch also must take care of Mikkel Kessler later this month before considering his future options.

First Hearn denied they'd been made an offer to fight Cleverly, now he says he's called him out but Froch would be at a big disadvantage.

Froch previously said he didn't want Cleverly, as he hasn't fought anyone yet.

Now they're saying its a weight disadvantage.

Fair enough, but you get the feeling Froch for some reason is reluctant to face Cleverly (maybe he feels a bigger, stronger guy with a solid chin and better work rate and engine can outwork him).

I understand there's bigger fights out there for Froch in status like Hopkins then Ward first etc but when the offer's there from a fighter and your not prepared to take it - then why run down his opponents - no need for it, when the guy you're running down is ready and wants to fight you.

D-MAC? Forgive me if this is low hanging fruit, but who are you referring to?

              ---------------------------

I believe he's talking about Danny McIntosh a British Dometic fighter.

I don't know if this is true though, its the first time I've heard McIntosh knocked out Groves in sparring.

Froch used to spar with him and said he is a big puncher tbf.

Both Cleverly and Bellew destroyed him in domestic match up's, he big and strong and punches hard but has limited ability.

I'm referring to Danny "D-MAC" Mcintosh aka Danny "Norfolk Locche" Mcintosh.

The man who was robbed of Prizefighter glory last night and the man who has been giving Kessler the business in sparring.

Sorry, but Froch would beat Cleverly.

Hearn doesn't want to do business with Warren. FWP offered a 170 catchweight, Matchroom turned it down.

There's been rumours close to the camp that he knocked Groves out cold in sparring for some time now.

He has "official" L's against Cleverly and Bellew but the ref was paid off against Cleverly in the premature stoppage and there's been a lot of controversy behind both bouts actually.
