So in this situation-no floyd is not going to fight at a disadavantage and give Canelo his highest payday ever.
Im sure when RJJ went up to heavyweight he accepted he might have to have some kind of disadvantages, but i guess thats what you get when you strive for greatness, something Floyd isnt interested in. Only interested in his zero, not challenges.Last edited by hugh grant; 05-17-2013, 08:30 AM.

When pac fought margarito he was disadvantaged by 3 weight divisions come fight night, not to mention 4 inches or so.
Canelo is the same height as Floyd just about.

This is why fighters coming up should not call out the top dog every time he is interviewed for 2 years. You look desperate and the man in the money position will treat u like it. Simple business. De la Hoya did it to Floyd. Since u are begging for it, how bad do u really want it?
Anyway, it seems clear Floyd sr is making some decisions now. He knows Floyd hasn't looked impressive at 154 and knows it is not a smart move. It's just like with pacman. Roach would never let him fight at 154. And still won't to this day. Even though pacman would probably win, it's still too dangerous.
I would like to see it at 154 just so Floyd can shut people up but I get it. My question is, why doesn't canelo want to fight Floyd at Floyd's best weight? Nobody could say **** to canelo if he beat Floyd at 147. He would be the man. With no excuses.
