Ya mofos are so gay over Floyd that ya don't even realize this is true. Unless you idiots wanna pay $70 to watch him and Alexander hug each other all night.

Yes, Floyd is still going to get paid$$$ regardless of who he fights. But Showtime is going to want to maximize ppv buys and so will the ppv providers.

Floyd is running out of options of fights that can bring 1.5 mil and up.

Ortiz rematch, khan, Garcia etc will all do close to a 1 mil buys but none will come close to making as much money as a canelo fight would.

If im canelo, i have no pressure on me to agree to all of Floyd's demands like a catchweight.
If im canelo and his management i would wait floyd out and let him fight other guys that dont bring the money canelo can.
Nobody expects canelo to do 1 mil buys by himself on his own ppv.
but him and floyd together and your looking at 1.5 and up, possibly 2 mil if the hype train really builds it.

Nobbody is going to blame Canelo if he chooses not to fight floyd a a catchweight.
If im canelo i sit back and fight the angulo, kirkland, cotto, etc.

Eventually Floyd will run out of big money options to fight and be forced to "retire" or fight Canelo at 154..

The heat is already on Floyd to fight canelo. If Floiyd offers to fight at 154- fine, canelo accepts and the fight is on.
If floyd tries to dictate terms in weight at 150 or 147, If im canelo i say shove it and go find 1.5 mil buys with Alexander lol

Just my opinion and i love the business side of boxing. If im Canelo i dont accept anything that isnt at 154
yeah im pretty sure it was floyd who got the biggest deal in sports history not canelo

Not really, Canelo is going to have to be more of a draw on his own, so the pressure is REALLY on him.

In all actuality he's a middle weight and as he gets older he won't be able to make that 154 make without punishing himself! So the catch is, get floyd NOW! MAKE CANELO SEEM BIGGER and BETTER than he really is so that when he does go to middle weight (where he will lose) his stock is already high!

Remember this is a del la hoya protege
(super success and the 0 from S.feather weight - welter, then trinidad and a slew of spotted losses throughout his welter weight career),
del la hoya is trying to mimic his success vicariously through Canelo...

Now Floyd on the other hand is going to get 1 mil buys because he will sucker the public on the "next fight" (canelo or pacquio) or "young hungry lion" marketing tactic. Fact is floyd ain't fighting canelo because dude is 170 on fight night! thats 20+ pounds pushing lil floyd around! LOL Cotto and Del a hoya where both big welter weights, again canelo is truly a middle weight cherry picking the jr division!

Fact is Floyd is attempting to clean out the sanctioning belt bodies then retire, my guess is
Devon Alexander IBF (sept w/canelo vs cotto on the undercard)
Chris Van Heerdan IBO (won't sell for ****)
Tim Bradley WBO (if he beats marquez & opts out of his contract)
Adrian Broner WBA (when he beats paul, and i feel mayweather will lose)
pacquio (final good bye, side bar pac's shot to ****)

That a ****ty way to go out, but knowing floyd and his mentality this is probably the way it will go down

Surely showtime aren't ****** enough to commit to this type of money without either some say in the opponent or an out clause or both.

If the Guererro fight did barely 1mil as rumoured then Alexander will do even less, people are getting sick of these uncompetitive fights and without the Pac fight hype to generate interest, no washed up big names or Mexicans to fight and no Canelo on the undercard, showtime are going to lose a packet on this deal if Floyd keeps taking safe fights.

              moneywise, that's right...

but let us sidestep ppvs and money matters and negotiation niceties regarding demands..

              canelo needs pbf...sure..who does not?

pbf needs canelo? maybe!? maybe not!?

canelo beating pbf will really shoot canelo up the ladder....

but will pbf beating canelo really add to floyd's legacy?

Let me get this right...th guy with a 200million dollar plus contract needs the guy who's barley making 3, 4 million and never headlined or sold 1 ppv?????

                Floyd Garcia will sell
Floyd khan in uk will sell stupiiiddddd money.
Bradley gets out of his contract Bradley n Floyd would sell.
Canelo better play his role if not by time Floyd will have time for him he'll be too blown up and he'll be dying to make a catch weight for a Floyd pay day....
Like people have said time n time again.....Floyd went up and did everything Oscar wanted him to do........canelo ain't even got a ****in Olympic medal to even think he's half of what Oscar is/was. As a real fan of the game I will not chuck this one up as Floyd duckin **** cuz canelo wants to act like a spoiled brat.

Floyd needs Manny still! And he needs Canelo! Only to prove hes not the chicken shlt the world knows he is! A cherry picking hype job! He sure isnt calling Canelo out. Oh my bad...he is...at 147....:WORD:
Floyds last fight was a dud. Showtime lost money on that one too. He will never live up to his hype Canelo on the other hand is rising to the scene. Hes bringing action to the ring. While Floyd runs around the ring pot shots and clinches his way to victory. Woo Woo Woo!
Floyd needs a big win. A real opponent. He needs Canelo. Or Manny! Canelo dont need Floyd. At all. He just wants to beat his ass.

Stop being dumb.... Floyd was brought over to bring boxings biggest star over to showtime. plain and simple. You have to buy that type of power, simply putting on good fights doesnt make that happen for you. You think a bunch of smhucks at showtime dont know what the hell they are doing???

Think about this... Its a long term deal. For the next 2 years they have boxings biggest star along with a host of upcoming stars......

You see its called branding when you think of copy machines you think of xerox, when you think of e-reader devices you think of Kindles, when you think of boxing premier boxing you think of HBO. They know what they are doing. They have Floyd and GBP, AND they will have floyds fighters.... While HBO will have top rank.... And BOB aint a fool.

Manny is on the decline...... Not much over there and if broner is successful and follows suit, showtime will have all the relevant stars...

Showtime is in good shape right now. You see the average person sees business on a day to day level, the big boys see it as in long term investments. They could advertise all they wanted, it still would not bring viewers like this deal will. Just ask yourself do you really think Floyd wont end up fighting Canelo??

Canelo just needs to sit his ass down. He doesnt even have his own ppv yet and just doesnt seem to realize that having a damn underamour deal dont mean shat!!!!!

6 MONTHS AGO NO ONE WAS EVEN WANTING TO SEE FLOYD VS CANELO, AND THEY WILL SOON BE REMINDED WHY. ITS ONLY HISTORY REPEATING ITSELF.

A NEW BOOGEY MAN, AND MARK MY WORDS IF PAC DONT GET KNOCKED OUT, HE WILL BE ONE OF THE FIGHTS FLOYD HAVE BEFORE RETIRMENT. SIG DIS SHAT!!!!
