Neither fighter Needs the other. Floyd is at the end of his career and is making a ton of cash, Canelo is at the beginning of his and he is making an ever increasing amount.

Floyds last fight was a dud. Showtime lost money on that one too. He will never live up to his hype
Manny just got knocked the **** out and is probably on his way out, and in a very different way than Floyd. No record setting deals in his future, ever, from here on out.
Floyd does not need Canelo. Canelo would create the biggest fight for september 14th of this year for sure, but Floyd has other options. That said, Canelo doesn't "need" Floyd either. He can work his way up on regular showtime shows the hard way.
Floyd's last fight being a dud has yet to be proven, as is showtime losing money. You can't prove either of those points, weak.
Floyd has MORE than lived up to the hype. He is the P4P number 1 fighter in the sport and the highest paid athlete in the sport. Everything from here on out is gravy.
The idea that Floyd needs Pac at this point is beyond laughable. Manny is closer to done than Floyd is and Floyd would whoop him, and pretty much everyone knows it.

I remember before Floyd fought announced he was going to fight Shane Mosley, guys like you (who were convinced he wouldn't fight Mosley because he was afraid) were buying into rumors he was going to fight Paulie Malignaggi and Nate Campbell. Then he announced he was fighting Shane, beat his ass, and all you guys could talk about was how old Shane was. Your schtick is beyond used. Get new material.

I never said Floyd wouldnt kick his ass. Im going from the perspective of Canelo's handlers.

In my opinion watching floyd vs ghost.. Floyd had great legs all 12 rds.

Watching Canelo vs Trout. Canelo gassed out at times.

Floyd would be a nightmare for canelo late.

Thanks for reading my thread but please next time try and comprehend the narrative of it before your rebuttal

He doesnt need to come down to 147 to fight floyd...

Thats the whole point of the thread.

If Canelo needed him that much he would go down. But Canelo has the leverage in the weight because Floyd is expected to do 1.5 mil plus ppv buys

Only canelo and manny can give floyd that.
So if im Canelo's handlers I wouldn't accept anything below 154.
They are both champs there so it should be no big deal

Canelo can fight the cotto's, kirlands of the world and still make big money.

He is only 23, no need to sign a bad deal with floyd

              Remember Vargas vs Tito
Same thing will happen if you put a young drained Canelo against a master like floyd

U guys must be really ******ed if u think showtime told Floyd, "here Floyd, we're going to pay u 30+mil per fight to face anyone you'd like regardless of how many ppvs u sell" Be realistic. Sure they seemed desperate but I'm sure they're not going to bankrupt the entire network on such a dumb deal. There's has to be some stipulations in there and they have to have some say so in regards to who he fights. Why do u think Espinosa is now pushing hard for a Floyd /canelo bout. Trust me, Floyd vs Guerrero did NOT do a mil+ buys. 3 different boxing scribes who are not affiliated with one another all stated that they're hearing the fight didn't even come close to a mil.

Floyd opponents that do 1.5 million ppv buys or higher: Canelo, Manny,

Floyd Opponents that do 1-1.2 Million ppv buys: Bradley, Broner, Garcia, Marquez 2,

Floyd Opponents that do 1 million or less: Alexander, Ortiz 2, Berto, Thurman, Khan (remember hatton only did 900,000 with Floyd and Hatton)

Floyd needs Canelo for the monster PPV numbers he did with Oscar, SHane, Cotto
