Yes, Floyd is still going to get paid$$$ regardless of who he fights. But Showtime is going to want to maximize ppv buys and so will the ppv providers.

Floyd is running out of options of fights that can bring 1.5 mil and up.

Ortiz rematch, khan, Garcia etc will all do close to a 1 mil buys but none will come close to making as much money as a canelo fight would.

If im canelo, i have no pressure on me to agree to all of Floyd's demands like a catchweight.
If im canelo and his management i would wait floyd out and let him fight other guys that dont bring the money canelo can.
Nobody expects canelo to do 1 mil buys by himself on his own ppv.
but him and floyd together and your looking at 1.5 and up, possibly 2 mil if the hype train really builds it.

Nobbody is going to blame Canelo if he chooses not to fight floyd a a catchweight.
If im canelo i sit back and fight the angulo, kirkland, cotto, etc.

Eventually Floyd will run out of big money options to fight and be forced to "retire" or fight Canelo at 154..

The heat is already on Floyd to fight canelo. If Floiyd offers to fight at 154- fine, canelo accepts and the fight is on.
If floyd tries to dictate terms in weight at 150 or 147, If im canelo i say shove it and go find 1.5 mil buys with Alexander lol

Just my opinion and i love the business side of boxing. If im Canelo i dont accept anything that isnt at 154
Well said Canelo has a bright future ahead of him. Let Floyd fight cherry picked fighters then retire. Canelo needs to carve his own legacy as PAC did.

Think about this... Its a long term deal. For the next 2 years they have boxings biggest star along with a host of upcoming stars......

You see its called branding when you think of copy machines you think of xerox, when you think of e-reader devices you think of Kindles, when you think of boxing premier boxing you think of HBO. They know what they are doing. They have Floyd and GBP, AND they will have floyds fighters.... While HBO will have top rank.... And BOB aint a fool.

Manny is on the decline...... Not much over there and if broner is successful and follows suit, showtime will have all the relevant stars...

Showtime is in good shape right now. You see the average person sees business on a day to day level, the big boys see it as in long term investments. They could advertise all they wanted, it still would not bring viewers like this deal will. Just ask yourself do you really think Floyd wont end up fighting Canelo??

Canelo just needs to sit his ass down. He doesnt even have his own ppv yet and just doesnt seem to realize that having a damn underamour deal dont mean shat!!!!!

6 MONTHS AGO NO ONE WAS EVEN WANTING TO SEE FLOYD VS CANELO, AND THEY WILL SOON BE REMINDED WHY. ITS ONLY HISTORY REPEATING ITSELF.

A NEW BOOGEY MAN, AND MARK MY WORDS IF PAC DONT GET KNOCKED OUT, HE WILL BE ONE OF THE FIGHTS FLOYD HAVE BEFORE RETIRMENT. SIG DIS SHAT!!!!
        This.......

I can see Canelo taking at $10M + back end deal to fight at 147.

But then come in at 153 and pay a $1M fine and punish Floyd.

That'd be funny, but the fight would be off. This is no Broner Escobedo, or Canelo Hatton

Pac carved his own legacy by fighting top fighters are his starting weight division and slacked off as he got higher taking easier fight. The thing is he like Floyd started fighting the best. Canelo in all of his fights has found one .... single decent fighter. Just one. Canelo is way behind the 8 ball if you're trying to talk about carving a legacy like Pac did. At the rate hes going he's on pace to be fighting people in the bottom 50 of whatever division he moves into if you were to compare it. So please for the love of god....stop putting Manny and Canelo together, Canelo is a manufactured star while Pac earned his stripes by tear ****ting up against some of the best.

So you guys disagreeing are gonna gladly spend $70 to see May-Alexander???? Lol would love to see the undercard to that event cuz boy oh boy. That's gonna be a tough sell if its not a stacked 1. And I love how now, all of the sudden, everyone says Canelo is a Middleweight. I never heard of anyone crying about fight night weight until now.
