That was a sparring exhibition with headgear against a non-fighter who tired out in the first round.

It was 5 rounds total, 4 rounds of 2-minutes each, 5th round 1 minute, total of 9 minutes boxing.

We're talking a 12 round fight, 36 minutes of boxing, no headgear against one of the top MMA heavyweights in great condition. Totally different story, you can't compare the two.

And how exactly is Jones going to land on him?

I am a UFC fan myself my comment was a stab at UFC I think Jon Jones is a great fighter but the PPV Buys for his title defenses been good but not "GREAT"

UFC PPV Numbers are very up and down, sure GSP can draw well and that is mostly because of Canada

I will be Honest, I expected more then just 500k+ for the Sonnen fight, nothing wrong with those numbers that is still great but I honestly was expecting at least close to 800k-1M considering all the hype with them being coaches on TUF and Sonnen video on ESPN going viral and all that stuff

yeah he is still very young into his and I am sure the numbers will only go up for him because like Mayweather is hated by many boxing fans, it is many UFC fans who hate Jones and desperately want to see him lose as well

but I did expect bigger numbers for Jones vs Sonnen but over 500K is not bad

Jones is quite technically sound (incredibly sound in Muay Thai department... but this is boxing), so don't be assuming he'd be swinging like most MMA fighters do.
