Because JONES said he could hang with Mayweather in boxing. Did you read the link?

Then he trashed boxing as not being fighting.

Why do you refuse to read what he said then comment on it?

Boxing isn't fighting, it's boxing. MMA isn't fighting either, it's MMA.

LoL I listen to the whole interview it's on youtube and he says he could hang with Mayweather and I agree that he was out of line with calling boxing not fighting but to him thats the case bacause he can't use all of his skilles in boxing.

That was a sparring exhibition with headgear against a non-fighter who tired out in the first round.

It was 5 rounds total, 4 rounds of 2-minutes each, 5th round 1 minute, total of 9 minutes boxing.

We're talking a 12 round fight, 36 minutes of boxing, no headgear against one of the top MMA heavyweights in great condition. Totally different story, you can't compare the two.

Jones just doing what every boxer and promoter does, mention Mayweather to bring attention to themselves

UFC PPV Numbers are Down, everytime that happens they start to mention Boxing and Boxers...Jones vs Sonnen did just over 500K PPV Buys which is not bad but that is not as high as a Mayweather or Pacquiao PPV Event and Jones is their Franchise Fighter at the moment

Jones is great at what he does, a phenomenal all around MMA fighter and he should stick to that, even if he was to try Boxing he wouldn't be fighting Mayweather at 6'5 205 lbs., he would be fighting maybe Yoan Pablo Hernandez at Cruiserweight or something? lol

I am a UFC fan myself my comment was a stab at UFC I think Jon Jones is a great fighter but the PPV Buys for his title defenses been good but not "GREAT"

UFC PPV Numbers are very up and down, sure GSP can draw well and that is mostly because of Canada

Ugh...then sign up my dude. There are a couple of fat bar room brawlers at LHW who will test Jones chin in one round of a boxing match than all of the shots he's taken in MMA to this point, maybe in his whole career. What type of idiot would say boxing isn't a fight when we see these dudes ending up with brain damage and life altering injuries from these "non-fights" GTFO
