Floyd would have never stepped up to welter if he was in the early 80's with duran leonard and hearns

Also he would have never in the late 90's with tito oscar and ike

If he had he would not be undefeated like he is today

I think he's a great defensive fighter but no master. Whitaker is a defensive master who you couldn't barely hit with anything. Not a jab, a body shot, etc. The jury is still out on Floyd's so called great defense. Level of opposition has a lot to do with it. He didn't look like a defensive master against Cotto, did he? You know why? Because Cotto is an A-Level fighter who could think with Floyd. The Ghost is a C-Level fighter and it's why Floyd looked like one and still he got hit by some solid shots. Not a lot of course, but when he fights an A-Level fighter, his accuracy and defensive skills goes down just a bit. The jury is still out on him.

Floyd Mayweather is not a defensive master? You can't be serious.

Whitaker was definitely a master, but he did get HIT. You don't remember Roger Mayweather knocking down Pernell Whitaker? Pernell took his fair share of shots from opponents. So let's not act like Pernell was superhuman and didn't get touched. You funny with that one.

            Sugar Ray Leonard

“What impressed me about Mayweather was that he’s 36 and [had] been inactive for a more than a year. Very few fighters, even myself, could come back and have the mental and psychological capacity to stay focused like he did. He was brilliant. He was a sheer boxing technician. His performance made me look up and say, ‘Yes, he can compete with any era.’”

                He's not.

No. He's not. The jury is still out on him. If they kept compubox stats like they do now, it wouldn't even be close as to who got hit less. Floyd is susceptible to a jab and body punches. That is a fact. What is also a fact is that his level of opposition and their skill-set is why the jury is still out. Now had he fought Martinez at 154lb before Chavez Jr. ruined him, if he had fought Manny instead of make the biggest duck in history, and if he fights Canelo at 154lb like he did Cotto, and his numbers are the same, and he's able to make those fighters look silly, then and only then would I call him a "master". If a shop worn Cotto ****** him up and a washed up Oscar was able to land body shots and a consistent jab on him, what would those fighters do? Miss all night? Cotto would have gotten embarrassed against Whitaker. The Ghost wouldn't have hit him with ANYTHING.

Floyd beats Duran and Whitaker, Leonard is 50/50 and gets blown the **** out of the water by Hearns. Loses to Hearns 10 out of 10 times.

Hagler would have EATEN Floyd up.

Hearns would have KNOCKED Floyd out cold.

Duran would have put on a BEATING on Floyd.

Floyd would have the best chance against Leonard, IMO. But I still favor Leonard over Floyd.

I remember watching Leonard-Duran I, a few years back. I think it was 2010 when Mayweather-Pacquiao was hot. And even then I thought to myself...Man, Floyd and Manny would not have been able to hang with these monsters.

Leonard would have KO'ed Jackson. Last I checked, he wasn't the smartest fighter and he was known to gas out. BIG mistake against a fighter with damn near as much power, way more hand-speed, foot-speed, and boxing IQ.
If you think Leonard had anywhere close to the power that Jackson had, stop watching boxing ASAP.
