if youre a boxing head, you dont need this fight to get bigger or marinate or whatever the ****. its gotta happen next before:

      1. something derails it.
      2. more roadblocks get added
      3. we have to first go through canelo v cotto and mayweather vs khan./garcia - we REALLY dont need to sit through these.

of course, there IS an argument to be made for letting it get bigger. but it all centres on floyd mayweather getting a bigger ppv upside.

which none of us (and this includes you dlt) get the benefit of.

Angulo fight Lara on June 8th. The "/" means whoever the winner is. A fight in Sept and then one more maybe in Dec, if he can, and fight Floyd May 3rd. Monster event with good names on resume and more time to develop skills.

And if floyd says no then canelo I don't think will need Floyd by that time and can have a big event against Martinez for lineal MW crown.

But like I said this is just for argument sake. If it happens in Sept I have no issues with it at all.

the shameless justification of Floyd fans delaying a super fight in hopes that it gets derailed is just sad

i dont think they want to see the fight derailed. i think the problem is, they defend floyd's logic too much. they approach everything from a floyd centric view, rather than a boxing fan point of view, and thats why the start saying illogical things.

like now, we got people arguing why delaying it and marinating it is a good thing. yeah, it's good for floyd, he makes a few more millions on the ppv upside.

but for us fans? the time to make the fight is now.

floyd fans? they wanna see the fight too but they're too bound up in floyd logic, which means they actually start to say things like cotto vs canelo should go ahead first, so canelo builds his name up.....but who the hell really wants to see cotto vs canelo?

i've never met a legit fight fan that is happy to 'marinate' a potential super fight

"but but but imagine the numbers it will do if Canelo get's an even bigger name!"
