I wouldn't be surprised if he fought Canelo next. What's happening now reminds me of his reaction after the Marquez fight ( when Mosley stepped in the ring). He didn't commit himself to the fight, which resulted in people claiming that he was afraid of Mosley. It ended up being his next fight and he whooped Mosley.

If Floyd has zero interest in fighting Canelo, we will see him drop his WBA title and release a statement to the tune of ''In light of recent performances, I've realised that my body is not suited for 154lb. In order to give the fans what they want to see, I will finish my fight at 147lb so that the fans can see the best of Floyd Mayweather''.

I hope so... only Cherrypicker will be able to defeat this Ginger hypejob. Everyone else will get robbed on the scorecards in Texas

Sounds like Floyd wants to duck and dodge again, up to his old tricks.
He will have to do better than fighting B level fighters every 18months or so.

if it's not canelo or trout, i would actually rather see him fight cotto again than any of the other names being mentioned. alexander, khan or garcia don't even have a punchers chance. at least cotto can give him a fight.

Who did Canelo rob? Trout? I saw the fight, scorecards were a bit too far apart for my liking but Trout didn't put on a winning performance. His punches had no conviction and barely landed.

              he wont fight canelo.

floyd likes to hide and jump around divisions so he doesnt have to fight threatening opposition.

did the same thing back in 2007 when he fought a shot past prime oscar started talking junk to still somewhat prime winky wright then came back down to 147 to fight career 140 pounder ricky hatton who with one fight at 147 got beat by collazo.

then when he beat hatton at 147 decided to "retire" when welter weight was the hottest and deepest in all of boxing.

              prime margarito
              prime cotto
              prime paul williams
              younger shane

              doesnt fight pacquiao.

Now, its happening again. Beats cotto at 154, doesnt fight Canelo or Trout but instead picks on a career 130 pounder in guerrero.

              cherry picking at its finest.

True, he beat a B level slow fighter in Guerrero and then some people make out as if Floyd beat SRR last night or Pac.

Floyd really has to do better than beating B level fighters every 18 months or so, or rather 12 months like now. If Guerrero was Wards size, Ward would outclass Guerrero as well, so would Froch.

Manny isn't a level. He's just the best b level opponent that is why he's begging like a beeeyotch

not that it's going to happen (for several reasons) but now would be a good time for floyd to go after sergio. that looks like a winnable fight for floyd now.
