He turned down career high payday for margarito, turned down another career high pay day in Oscar rematch, Turned down biggest fight in history of modern boxing vs manny, he will turn down huge money vs canelo

Floyd next five fights will be against the likes ortiz 2, Garcia, alexander, Khan, maidana, berto, peterson

Remember when Oscar was the biggest draw in boxing and he fought prime undefeated Quartey, Trinidad, Mosely all in under two years. Then followed it up with vargas grudge match, mosely rematch, and even had the balls to step to hopkins at middleweight. Thats what great fighters do, they fight the biggest fights available

    Amen.......

from a promotional standpoint, floyd/canelo would do better on may 2014 than sept 2013

--Certain fights dont materialize for a number of reasons. Whether it's b/c of the promoters, the fighters themselves or a combination of both. In Floyd's case, it rarely has anything to do w/ "ducking" or being "scared" of anyone. When you've been the #1 ranked p4p boxer for the past decade, I doubt you're scared to do what you do for a living. Mayweather considers himself a boss; therefore, he wants and can call the shots as far as negotiations are concerned. If the business end isnt to his liking, he doesn't hesitate to walk away from the table. When you're gonna make no less 30mil just to step in the ring, you can do that. A 2nd fight w/ de la hoya wouldve meant agreeing to oscar's terms as he did in the 1st fight and that wasnt going to happen. It's been documented that floyd offered pac 40mil and he declined b/c he wanted an even split. This isnt the era that ocsar fought in while in his prime. There not even that many top tier contenders in the ww div regardless of whether theyre a titlist. And of the fighters you named, mayweather likely wont fight any of them unless they put together a string of impressive wins @ 147..Mainly b/c they lack the name recog & drawing power. His past opponents either had big names i.e future hof'ers (mosely, cotton, marquez, hatton, de la hoya)..Or had a buzz b/c of recent wins (ortiz, guerrero). Outside of canelo or maybe pacquiauo, there's nobody out there w/ the name or resume @ 147 or 154 who can really demand a chance to fight him. I wouldnt be surprised at all if he elects to fight alvarez this year. It makes financial sense and negotiations should go smoothly b/c of the affiliation w/ gb promo.

Sounds like Floyd's gonna try to prolong the fight as much as he can which may be a double edge sword as he will be older and Canelo would have more experience. If I was Canelo and his team I'd try to get a few more fights with tough opposition to iron out some if his flaws like his stamina

Floyd has slipped and at 36 he should finish his career in his own weight class unify it , dominant it , own it , , at his age and obvious slowing down it would be a huge effort to give Canelo 20 lbs on fight night , kids take this weight advantage for granted , Canello did not come from 135or 140 like Floyds other 154 matches , he is a full sized JMW and Floyd is a small WW , now if Floyd CWed him to Mannys special 150 , then that changes his fight night weight and it changes the way he would train to make weight , but Floyd dont believe in draining fighters first ,

The weight is a big handicap for Floyd in this fight if it take it great , but to rag on him for not is just ignorant haters that dont understand boxing .

actually that's precisely what it is. yeah what a great business man he is turning down 100 million dollars not to fight pac. 100 million dollars wasn't to his liking? floyd already agreed to an even split then changed his demands when pac agreed to his tests. he bit-ched out and never wanted the fight even sacrificing a hundred million dollars in the process and you think it's not about ducking? lol!

He will wait until Canelo takes on every legit opponent and if he happens to lose he will fight him. Just like Pac who fought twice as much as Floyd until he got KO'd

Oh just stop it and be quiet will ya for a second. The size difference is a little risky, but the way you preach about it, is solely to preserve Floyds zero. To gain in life you have to take a little risk.
Do you think Barkley had a bit of a weight advantage over Duran or was Duran naturally Barkeys size? Yes it was risky for Duran but hey if the world sees you taking risks, it will not go unnoticed and you will be rewarded for it, ie no criticism.
Why are you holding Floyd back? Let go of the leash and reigns and set Floyd free.
