Yeah It would. I would love to see Quillin KO Murray lol.
Say what you want but Quillin is on his way to being a monster lol
I think Quillin and Murray are guys who are better than what they seem to be. However, Murray is the one who'll have more confidence going in because he's arguably beaten the two best MWs (Sturm/Martinez). N'Dam was Quillin's only recent opponent that I thought much of.

I wouldn't say he needs to retire just yet, but I agree that he's slipping. I understand the surgery and wet ring, but he wasn't avoiding punches like he should and he seemed to lack some pop. I know Murray didn't give him a whole lot, but the performance was lackluster. I'd like to see him recover then come back. At this age though, who knows?

This was basically a joke fight going in, and Murray did better than he was supposed to do. Similar to Provonikov where he put on a good performance against Bradley.

This wasn't some daunting task that the mighty Sergio Martinez decided to step up and face....no this was the equivalent of someone like Pacquiao, Marquez, or Mayweather fighting a Josesito Lopez or something.
According to those that didnt take the time to take a good look at Murray. I knew he would give a very good account of himself, and the Lopez comment just shows ignorance. Murray has gone into the lions den on the international stage twice and put on very good performances. Its not a fluke, he is just a very good fighter and deserves the respect he has earned in the ring. You rate and respect Quillin, but not Murray? Who exactly does Quillin have on his resume that tops Sturm and Martinez away from home?

No, I think Quillin was a little exposed against N'Dam, a fighter with movement like that will eat him alive.Quillin just has good power that saved him in that fight. Quillin-Murray would be a good fight to see which of them is the real deal. But Martin Murray, we need to stop acting like Sergio took on some big challenge going in. Sergio didn't even think it would be a hard fight, and whether it was the age or surgery, or whatever, he looked like crap.

Or Murray-N'Dam would be a good fight. Sergio underwhelmed, he was supposed to dominate Martin Murray, not arguably lose to him.

Thats on Sergio. He, you and a whole bunch of other people massively underestimated him. Murray deserves his credit, not the excuses.

If he fought Canelo Alvarez or GGG, Martinez would get his head knocked off his shoulders.

Am guessing the GGG brigade would go overdrive if he does retire of take some time off.

The fight had similarity with the Macklin fight. Both wanted SM to come in instead of going after him. Difference is SM took more risks in the Macklin fight.
