C'mon man, try harder...that article does NOT QUOTE MONEY or any of his people that such a contract existed. This is someone else account stating that Money promised a fight to Canelo. Money always says that he will fight anybody but he never specifically promises that an opponent is next in the media.. NEVER. It's their word against his.

Oh by the way, I want that other poster "Whoseyourdaddy" to find the link since he made such an outlandish claim.

Son I went by what that article said....and by Mayweather never reffuting or denaying what Canelo Claims, all mayweather said when ask about Canelo's claim was and I quote "I don't have to sign sh**t, who does he think he is? who is Canelo? he hasen't fought anybody"

Arum is willing to against a canelo fight on September 14 but not a Floyd fight on that day....I think that should answer n stfu all y'all's ignorance....he'll mma Dana white said he won't even go against Floyd.......and if I'm correct what happened last time canelo went head to head with a good fight....I believe Martinez n Chavez did a lot more then canelo.....canelo a a star people.....but not the supernova y'all want him to be yet.....

Umm i dont think anyone here on this thread is talking about skilss and acomolishments but numbers. Tell me where was pbf selling at that time point proven move on.

skill and accomplishments have a lot to do with it because Canelo doesn't have half the skills or accomplishments as a boxer that Floyd had at 22, yet he's selling out arenas.. Canelo became well known when he started fighting on Floyd's undercards.. Floyd didn't have a mega star to piggy back off of like Canelo did.. Golden Boy promotions/ Al Haymon wasn't around and Arum and Top Rank shows more support for Latino fighters.. Now imagine if Floyd was Mexican @22.. He would have the main fan base in boxing(mexicans) supporting him plus the promoters would support him and add the style & skills that Floyd has.. He would have been selling out every where because mexicans support their own and every casual and hardcore boxing fan in the world loves a fighter with a good skill set, though some will lead you to believe that brawlers are preferred.. Canelo doesn't brawl like your typical Mexican fighter does and Mexican fans love it.. Floyd's been beating fighters with his skill set for years and they hate him for it..

I doubt it. If your Golden Boy who do you care about most? Canelo, the biggest mexican draw who will be a star for the next 10-12 years, or Floyd who fights Andre Berto's leftovers and could retire at any moment? You think if given the choice Golden Boy or Showtime will chose Floyd vs. Alexander over Canelo vs Cotto on Mexican Independence day?
Personally I think its a mute point, just because Ellerbe says Floyd wants to fight in September doesn't mean it will happen. Floyd has said he would fight multiple times a year for a while now. Hasn't happened since 2007.

And what exactly is Al Haymon going to do? Take Austin Trout and Danny Garcia to HBO? They won't work with him, he has no choice but to work with Golden Boy, they need each other.

I agree Canelo can't be waiting around for Floyd to retire to get that money. But if Al Haymon wanted to he can leave GBP and do business with Mayweather and Showtime if he really wanted to. GBP and Al Haymon have a good thing going on why would they. I am sure GBP will try to make Canelo happy as well as Floyd.

umm you say it takes 2 to tangle right but only use it for floyd. Floy vs hatton hatton was big star, vs cotto another big star, vs marquez another star and mexican on a mexican holiday lol please. See guerrero is the weakest draw out of all of them but he is still mexican and the fight is on a mexican holiday and the undercard is packed with mexicans so you tell me which fighter needed the others. When dlh used to fight they bought the card cause of dlh himself. If twitter facebook youtube the internet people with smartphones would of been popular during the late 80s and early 90s imagined how many more numbers odlh would have had? Pbf can fight 10 more times he wont accomplished what dlh did overall.

Canelo needed to be on mayweather undercards???? He just prove last weekend he dont give a ****. Tell me who needed him more canelo or pbf. Wrong do the numbers! When Floyd fought Mosley (who everyone said was old & past his prime) he did 1.4 million in PPV with an unknown Canelo on the undercard.. Fast forward to the Mayweather vs Cotto/Canelo vs Mosley PPV which did 1.5 mill buys.. You have three other stars in boxing besides Floyd.. Cotto brought the Puerto Ricans, Mosley brought whatever old school fans he had and Canelo brought the Mexican fans, yet they only did somewhere around 100,000 buys more. Canelo didn't bring that 100,000 buys extra all by himself because Cotto was a huge draw and really Floyd is the only fighter with the proven PPV numbers at that time.. You can hype up Canelos star power with someone else because im not buying it.. move along!!
