Who's Mega fights/undercards was Canelo on??? That's right Floyd Mayweather! Floyd came up the hard way.. No one knew who Canelo was until he fought on Floyd's undercard when floyd fought Mosley.. Two or three undercards later and Canelo is trying to give demands to the fighter that pretty much made him famous.lol

Lmaol omg some people are just plain ******. If there is a reason why pbf gets more additional numbers is because canelo was there. The kid was already big in all latin america. Canelo needed to be on mayweather undercards???? He just prove last weekend he dont give a ****. Tell me who needed him more canelo or pbf. It looks like GBP will have to do something about trying to make Canelo and Mayweather happy in the future. Canelo wants the Mexican holidays so that he can fight on those days and so does Mayweather.

I understand why Canelo would like to fight on those days he knows he can sell out an arena and would like to sell his own PPV events.

Mayweather has that six fight deal with Showtime so Mayweather plans on fighting two times a year. Which is May 5th weekends and september 16th weekends which is Mexico's independence day

GBP is going to have to try to make this work with Mayweather and Canelo. If the give in to Canelo they will lose a lot of money not just with Floyd but with Al Haymon and all the fighters that he works with.

GBP is not going to do that Canelo is going to have to take the back seat again trust me.

Not really.....it takes two to tango. And how many times has Oscar sold over 1 million PPV's.....4 times and 2 of those were with Floyd and Manny themselves. Floyd has sold over 1 million 5 times, and over 1.5 or more twice.

Looks aside, Canelo was handed everything in his career. Floyd earned becoming a draw the hard way, and to fight Oscar he had to give up everything. Canelo should do the same. Watch Canelo ask for 50-50 which is INSANE. The kid has still never headlined a PPV in his life.

And yet Canelo already Making Millions filling arenas...compared to floyd @ that age.

Mayweather's people told Canelo's they would fight in the fall if they both won on May 4th. His people and Golden Boy have stated this multiple times. When it came time to get that in writing Floyd said no. Floyd's people tried to play Canelo and it didn't work.

Exctly and I don't see Mayweather ever refutting what Canelo claims.

The race card thing is played out. It's obviously not hurting Floyd now. The issue pre-ODLH is that no one knew who Floyd was (in terms of personality). Look at other black fighters of the past and measure their success in connecting with the public, Tyson, SRL to name two. The public was able to connect with them from an early age, much like is what is now being attempted with Canelo. Adrien Broner if he continues to show progression in the ring, will definitely sell and he himself is pulling a Mayweather 2.0.

I doubt it. If your Golden Boy who do you care about most? Canelo, the biggest mexican draw who will be a star for the next 10-12 years, or Floyd who fights Andre Berto's leftovers and could retire at any moment? You think if given the choice Golden Boy or Showtime will chose Floyd vs. Alexander over Canelo vs Cotto on Mexican Independence day?
Personally I think its a mute point, just because Ellerbe says Floyd wants to fight in September doesn't mean it will happen. Floyd has said he would fight multiple times a year for a while now. Hasn't happened since 2007.

Canelo realizes that Floyd doesn't have the sack to get in the ring with him. They tried to play him to get him to help Floyd's PPV's and it didn't work.
Good move by him. He is basically telling Floyd sign the fight like you said you would or find another date.

He didn't sell out venues or events because he wasn't hyped up at all! Like I said any Mexicans can sell out an aren/stadium in a city that is majority Mexican.. Mexicans have the biggest fan base in boxing so of course they support their own and sell out stadiums with cheap ticket prices.. Blacks on the other hand don't have as much support in boxing because most are supporting athletes in more main stream sports such as basketball and football.. I'd rather be 22 with all the style & skills to eventually be the best boxer in the world (Floyd) Then to be a hyped up 22 year old who gets tired after 6 rounds who won his 1st title in a vacant match up against a welter weight.. A man thats 42-0 just coming off of my first fight with someone thats in the top ten in my division and really only hyped because of my nationality. (canelo)

While it not going to happen so he should keep the belt and fight fighters in his own divisions. He would actually be dropping two belts (WBA regular and WBC)...do you really think he would do that.

Broner is with Haymon, Sante Cruz is with Haymon, so is Thurman, Gary Russell and a whole bunch of other fighters. And Mayweather has a history with selling a million plus PPV's and how many has Canelo sold?? oh aight then!!

If canelo was a remote draw for PPV you don't think Golden Boy would try to capitalize on that?? Are they don't care about making extra money?? Get outta here with that. Come Sept 14th I bet Mayweather fights on PPV with or without canelo now can we say the same for canelo??
