Honestly I'm Puerto Rican, and Miguel Cotto for me means a lot, since he was the first fighter that got me interested in boxing, ever since his fight with Judah I've been hooked on boxing, I have never picked against Cotto in any fight and a year ago I would have said Cotto knocks out Canelo easily, after Cotto's last fight and Canelo's last fight I have to say Cotto doesn't have any business in there with Canelo, in his last fight his punches didn't have almost any effect on Trout. I think there were some times like I think it was on the 8th round that Cotto might have stunned him but other than that Cotto fought a weird fight, Canelo proved last Saturday to be a superior boxer than Trout and even though Canelo looks to have stamina issues, he has size and power, Cotto will not be able to bully him around and out boxing him is not an option because he would get tired faster. I think Cotto should fight the Smith-Molina winner for a title which is a winnable fight for him, do a couple of defenses and call it a day, but Canelo is too young, too big and too much power for Cotto.

I'm a huge Cotto fan but PR Boxer nailed it. Canelo has youth, confidence, defense and sick power. He will definitely KO Cotto. Cotto probably sshat his pants when he saw Canelo knock down Trout sitting from ring side lol

It would be a huge fight. Mexico vs Puerto Rico, two Latin warriors. Mayweather is a coward and boring. People watch his fight just because of the media merketing of hid image and they want to see him lose. Also, people pay to watch the oponent too. Thanks to Cotto he had alot of PPVs, it´s not only him. Imagine if he fights Canelo, how many Mexicans/ Latinos are gonna be there?? More than Floyd´s fans, I guarantee you that. Cotto v Canelo is an interesting fight... Miguel's body work and head movement will be the true test for Canelo. I think his only chance is to catch Cotto cold in the first 3-4 rounds.

Im Puerto Rican and Cotto is past his prime if he takes the fight and loses serves him right that Puerto Rico will hate him. He was liked cause he avenged the Margacheato loss. Avenged what?? He was lucky they stopped the fight due to the fact that Margo´s eye was not properly healed. Margo was beginning to break down Cotta la puta. Canelo beats him, period.

Good matchup. Hope it's not on PPV but I'm sure it will be. Cotto is still elie but definitely on the decline for a while now. Can't believe I'm saying this, but I think Canelo will be too big and strong for Miguel. It'll still be a pretty decent scrap though.
