Honestly I'm Puerto Rican, and Miguel Cotto for me means a lot, since he was the first fighter that got me interested in boxing, ever since his fight with Judah I've been hooked on boxing, I have never picked against Cotto in any fight and a year ago I would have said Cotto knocks out Canelo easily, after Cotto's last fight and Canelo's last fight I have to say Cotto doesn't have any business in there with Canelo, in his last fight his punches didn't have almost any effect on Trout. I think there were some times like I think it was on the 8th round that Cotto might have stunned him but other than that Cotto fought a weird fight, Canelo proved last Saturday to be a superior boxer than Trout and even though Canelo looks to have stamina issues, he has size and power, Cotto will not be able to bully him around and out boxing him is not an option because he would get tired faster. I think Cotto should fight the Smith-Molina winner for a title which is a winnable fight for him, do a couple of defenses and call it a day, but Canelo is too young, too big and too much power for Cotto.
NO Disrespect to Cotto, he's a great champion that fought the best of his time and continue to do so, even on the decline of his career, if he takes this fight man I would say he crazy but Much respect to him if he dose, but in any fight you never know, but it would bring in a lot of money and fight fans to watch.
I definitely think Canelo Cotto is a more interesting fight. I dont like Mayweather's elbow fighting style matches. I like to see real boxing. toe to toe. Canelo Cotto will be it. Keep Fingers Crossed.
Canelo better get ready for war those loopy punches wont work and him taking breaks in rounds will hurt him plus laying on the ropes wont be a good idea against a puncher like cotto it will be a good fight I just dont like the inactivity by cotto waiting all the way till September
And people green k this dude for shit like this. SMH!!
