Because thats why there are weight classes. It doesn't matter if he can beat him or not. I want to see the best at a particular weight fight each other, not the best at one weight fight the best at another weight when there's a 20 pound difference. I don't care if Floyd win, lose, get ktfo, I just want to see people who are the same size fight each other. The only time I want to see a big size difference is in the heavy weight division. I would say though that this fight may still be easy for Floyd, but we get to see how old he's gotten on May 4th. If he struggles, he may not fight Ginger.

But you can already see how bad he is at promoting a fight with the whole " my brother" thing. He would get in there and not really know what to say, I guarantee it'll be AAAWKWARD!

I saw him in Detroit when he was promoting a fight there. He was with Broner. I grew up about two and a half hours away from him in Saginaw, MI and we are months apart in age. When I saw him, all I could think is this dude looks like me when I was in high school. Floyd is very small and I don't even think he was training for this fight yet. Broner looked a little bigger than him (But it could of been the bigger/saggier clothes) but about an inch shorter. There's no way that he should be fighting someone that is going to be 172 pounds on fight night. If he does, I don't care, it'll be exciting for me, but no one, not PacMan, Marquez, or whoever should fight someone 20 pounds heavier than them, just like Canelo shouldn't fight a Crusier weight if they are going to be a heavyweight the night of the fight.
No I see your point, but when he faught Marquez, Floyd came over the weight limit by 2 pounds, than on fight night he didn't want to get weighed when entering the ring, I bet he was weighing about 10 more pounds then Marquez, so I guess that wasn't a problem for Floyd then.

Yeah, he should allow people to know his fight night weight. His camp claimed he was 152, but I'm not sure.

Canelo probably has a better chance of fighting Pacquiao before Mayweather would agree to fight him.

It wouldn't shock me if Floyd steals JMM next opponent (Bradley). He can say that he's fighting another young, hungry lion and that he showed a lot of heart in his last fight.

Yes, powerless is he whose fight is attended by the ginger.

Floyd better sprinkle holy water around the perimeter of the ring and have some garlic in his corner. Frankly though, I don't think even that will work.

Do anybody know Hatton's and Marquez weight on fight night for their last fight?
You know those fights were more than three years ago?

Marquez has since grown into the weightclass. He jumped 2 weight classes for the Floyd fight so he came in with more fat than muscle.

That's actually not a bad opponent. Only fighters Floyd should fight are Pac,Bradley or Canelo. If he fight those 3 and retire, cant hate on him. Sergio is a Middleweight, too big, that's asking for too much. Canelo while big too is young and not in his Prime and Floyd is older and not in his Prime either so that evens out.

What I love most about this fight is it's proved Canelo is a good boxer. You don't have his haters saying ya well Bundrage or Vanes will beat him. Now they have to step it up a level and say he's not ready for Mayweather. And this is from the same people saying he wasn't ready for Trout. Right after we saw Donaire get schooled they thought Trout would do the same.

Who's to say Floyd would do the same. No one expected Canelo to respond to Trout that way. Floyd's a smaller man, and Canelo wouldn't have the same issues with reaching in. Styles make fights and maybe Floyd's speed despite him slowing down is still enough to keep Canelo at bay or maybe Canelo's size and strength will do more than what Cotto did to Floyd. People give Floyd way too much praise because of how skillful he is, but he's still human, a smaller man that time is catching up with.
