Lol. The Floyd lovers already making excuses for their coward hero. Why not 154? Didn't he want the best Cotto at 154? Those were Floyds words. Why doesn't he want the best Canelo at his comfortable weight? Because chicken Floyd picks and chooses and is very selective with who he fights n he knows Canelo is a young lion n hits like a truck. Floyd fought Oscar at 54 n Cotto at 54 n the cotto fight was only a year ago. No need for Canelo to go down. Floyd said it himself, he hates catchweights, n wants his opponent at their best weight just like he said for Cotto.

Canelo must be coming down to welter. I don't think Floyd will be fighting at 154 again at the media day he said it himself "Floyd Mayweather is a welterweight" People need to just keep it real and stop acting like they are blind. Is Canelo a huge attraction? Yes. Are him and Floyd in the same weight class? No. Canelo came into the ring weighing 172 pounds, Floyd on his heaviest night wouldn't weigh more than 152.

I know Floyd said that he don't like catchweights and he rather fight his opponent at their most comfortable weight, but he cannot fight Canelo at 154. Canelo will come in at 172 and have all of his speed and power, while Mayweather will come in at 152 and be sluggish. He may can pull it off, but that would be risky. Canelo should fight Chavez Jr or Sergio Martinez. Those are better fights and will make him an even bigger name.
