Canelo got a KD. I could've easily given him a 10-9, but I still gave him a 10-8 just for the hell of it.

Popping a jab into mid air 95% of the time doesnt count as a landed punch. Yes Trout barely landed his jab. He was so far away, the jab would end in front of Canelo's face. Maybe you were watching it on your phone but popping it all night in his face?

You have a case there, but do you not understand why that's BS?

If you're clearly winning the fight, and you hear that the judges have you losing by such wide margins, then that's going to completely change your whole mentality going into the later rounds, where you should be doing exactly what you've been doing the whole fight.

Instead, he was forced to fight reckless, and leave openings for Canelo.

This is how i felt in the Alexander/Kotelnik fight, however, Kotelnik landed and didn't rest for the duration of a round for half the fight, he also busted Alexander up badly before the robbery.

Didn't happen tonight, tonight I thought the more active guy did enough to win.

I think Canelo's defense was just as important really.

That was some fine head movement, but I can't help but think Trout's punching leant to it.

Canelo is going to have to blow guys out of the water to get any type of respect. It was a close fight. But trout was reluctant to throw meaningful punches until he heard the scores.

i know, im just sayin 8-4 minus 1KD = 3 points difference not 2, thus 115-112 should be the right figure .. itcould've been just a typo ..no biggie

I had Trout winning 8 rounds. Canelo landed the harder punches, but he was too inactive in most rounds to win them on just one or two good shots. Trout pressed the action and landed his jab at will. The open scoring definitely forced him to be more aggressive, which ultimately cost him, as Canelo was able to counter-punch and land the more telling blows.

More active meaning what? Yea he was more active in throwing. He missed soooo much and whenever he did land, they were jabs or slaps. Activity is about landing more/better punches, not just throwing

If you look at the end of the fight neither man looked beat up

Trout didn't look like he had been hit with a hammer and nor did Canelo, no man truly dominated, I think a rematch wud be the best thing
