Canelo's Power punching won him this fight.

Trout Threw a lot more , But missed to much. Trout is a good fighter and deserves respect. Canelo's defense was insane. Head movement was crazy good!

Yeah Canelo consistently hurt Trout. Trout never hurt him with his punches.

Fight was very close, but they got the right winner imo.

Trout was a calzaghe-Judah hybrid tonight. Pawing and slapping from the other side of the ring and not even reaching canelo 97% of the time. Neither guy looked good

Not only that but RING GENERALSHIP. A major criteria in scoring.

Canelo looked like he was the ring general even when he wasn't throwing. He looked good while on defense, and he looked ok while on offense. To overcome that, Trout would've had to land twice as much as Canelo did, because I didn't see him land anything despite the stats showing that he did.

Clean, effective punching was definitely the difference.

The scorecards ruined it for me but the right guy won.

canelos defense was crap..........he was getting popped with the jab all night (do people forget this? or are they that influenced by the drunk crowed)

the fact of the matter is this fight was a toss up for ether man......i could see a austin win (due to out throwing him & out landing him) and i could see a canelo win due to power.....the judges had it way too far.

            both guys looked below average.

Neither guy landed a lot of big shots, but Canelo definitely landed the better punches in this fight. I think the fight was closer than they had it.

                Canelo landed the better punches.

Twitter is heavy hating on Canelo, Ron Borge, Lou Dibella, and others seem almost racist against Canelo or something. Especially because it's in the Alamodome, they think they are such moral people ranting against the Mexican winning.

canelo was gassed majority of the fight

just leaning on the ropes eating up punches

I think after tonight a few boxers would fancy their chances against him

And trout pawed his jab from 10 feet away and then slapped when he was near rarely making contact. Boxing is 95% about landing the cleanest more effective punches. Running around and Jabbing into the air cannot win rounds. Why trout went full feather fist pawer is a wonder to me. He was scared
