118-109 Alvarez was the correct scorecard. Trouts only clean punches were ****ing jabs. I honestly don't see how anyone can give trout anything more than three rounds. Saul put a whooping on that boy. I'm a fan of trout after he graciously admitted defeat tthough

Canelo looks very basic in there, he has power, but is very easy to hit and lacks stamina, at points in the fight he was just leaning on the ropes eating up punches and not firing back.

Missing punches don't affect the scoring, the ones that do land are the only ones that matter. Trout landed more.

i see how someone could have canelo shading it but 118-109 is embarrassing. that dude shouldn't be allowed judge. canelo did prove to me that he can mix it with top competition, but landing 3-4 good power punches a round when your opponent swamps you with activity shouldn't be enough to win you the round. open scoring was a load of **** as well. canelo didn't fight for the 12th round and the corrupts texas judges probably gave it to him anyway.

I see people giving Canelo a pass even for not fighting. Also, as a Mexican fighter he should be shamed. Most Mexicans HATE boxers who use defense more than offense. He shamed Mexico, but he gets a pass. Let this have been Mayweather and I'd be reading about boo's!!! Double standard bastards!!!

People who score the fight for Trout are doing it only because he was consistently pumping a jab, that caught air 80-90% of the time. Canelo landed by far the more telling and effective punches.

Canelo hurt Trout badly in one round and appeared to buckle his knees in two others. Nothing that Trout threw fazed Canelo at all. I give Trout credit because I think he is better than I initially assessed him to be. Trout work rate was good, took the punches well. Canelo's head movement was far superior than what he was given credit for before the fight.

But even Trout felt he lost, though the 118-109 card was a joke. Great fight though.
