I had this fight 114-113 for Canelo, with that knockdown being the difference maker. It was tough, because Trout is just a hard guy to really look good against. He throws a lot, and it didn't help when Canelo would just sit back and move around. But I do think he did enough to win that fight with that knockdown. Some of these judges though... Jesus Christ. 118-108? C'mon, gimme a break! I can understand 115-112, but 118-109? Jeez. I'm not even sure how I feel about the 116-111, although that's much more reasonable than the third judge.

Canelo got the best and made Trout failed a lot. I have him gaining for 2 points (basically the knockdown). I am surprised that Trout should have been the slicker and switer of both but it looks than Canelo was trhowing faster than Austin and of course with much more power. Austin was never able to hurt Canelo, who should have shown more damage in the very pale skin. TROUT HIMSELF MADE NO EXCUSES AND ACCEPTED THAT THE BEST MAN WON TONIGHT (I know many here will cry because lost money or hate on Saul but eventually will accept it too).

Trout clearly outboxed Canelo who was kinda passive. I just can't see how could he get this fight. And I don't get that either why Trout said he lost with a face who just wanna cry... Kinda strange... I think Trout will get some good matches at Showtime for this loss from Oscar...

Robbery is when one guy is busted up, beaten up and bruised. Not the guy who doesn't have a mark on his face, who was slipping, bobing and weaving almost every punch thrown at him, and knocking the other guy down and hurting him.

I give Trout a lot of credit. He came to fight. He didn't illegal clinch the entire fight. I had Canelo up two points though.

118-109 Alvarez was the correct scorecard. Trouts only clean punches were ****ing jabs. I honestly don't see how anyone can give trout anything more than three rounds. Saul put a whooping on that boy. I'm a fan of trout after he graciously admitted defeat tthough

What's that got to do with scoring? You don't get points for avoiding punches you get them for landing them.

Trout threw 416 jabs and landed 20%..for a technician with that kind of output not being able to land and fighting on the retreat to what is supposed to be an inferior skillwise opponent does affect the perception in judging. While I agree the scores were ridiculously wide Trout was taken out of his fight style and game plan and evaded like crazy..lets be real if i'm expecting you to throw combos and all you are doing is throwing jabs and missing I cannot give you a point for that personally. Hitting the air is not scoring.
