Come on im not even a floyd fan like that but comparing Rigo to his resume is laughable. Rigo needs to take out mares, go up fight garcia, gomboa and then we will compare resume's. Buster Douglas win over an undefeated tyson is one of the greatest wins of all time but doesn't mean his resume is better then somebody like Rid**** Bowe.
lf he were to do that he would have twice the resume of Floyd
No one said Rigo has a better resume. I'm saying Donaire is a better win than anyone Floyd has ever fought.
How many threads do I have to post this in... Corrales was p4p #5, and #1 in the division. Floyd was #2.... and an underdog about the same distance as Rigo was to Donaire.... Corrales was absolutely without any doubt utterly dominated. Floyd put on an exciting show, used defense, used offense. He showed he could do it all. Rigo ran around the ring, and schooled Donaire when he got close.
Hind sight is 20/20 but at the time of the fight, they were exactly the same kind of win. Only Floyds was better.

Not really Gamboa hasn't proved to be anything special since back, let him get a win where he doesn't look utterly horrible. As for garcia and mares still wouldn't make his resume better. Most of Floyds resume is being taken apart in hindsight like I said. At the time he fought most of his fights, they were hugely impressive wins. Tell me how you can say they weren't.

There is no hindsight. Nonito is clearly the better fight now compared to Floyd fighting Corrales back then.
Hatton in Late 2007 was a better fight than Cotto. Hatton was Top 10 P4P, had been in the running to fight Floyd for a couple years. Cotto became a "big big fight" when he beat Mosley.
Floyd ended up fighting Cotto anyway, not prime but still good, while he was #1 at 154.
Please stop **** riding Floyd with posts like this. Flowmosexual at it's finest.
I take back the comment I said earlier. YOU ARE a Flowmo **** rider.

You don't think Ricky Hatton in Late 2007, the #1 guy at 140 and had been in the running to fight him for years, Top 10 P4P, was a better fight in Late 07' than Cotto???
People started calling for Cotto in Early 08', after Cotto beat Mosley.
Nothing I said was untrue, moron. Floyd ended up fighting Cotto at 154 while he was ranked #1 there, not prime, but still good. Cotto isn't shot by any means, he's just fought two fighters who are better than him in Floyd and Trout.

LMFAO. Hatton, the same guy that got exposed by Luis Callozo the second he moved up to 147. LMFAO.
Please, don't even bring up the Cotto fight, because you will embarrass yourself.
You and your whole, "b b but he was #1 @ 154." He looked like **** @ 154 before he even fought Floyd, and he well past prime, and war torn like a Vietnam vet. Get your head out of Floyd's ass. Always taking his wins out of context, because of the name. Typical Flowmo tactic.
This is seriously a ridiculous statement. Nonito Donaire has been a wrecking machine at the top of the game for years now.
Nevermind that the wins over Casamayor are not exactly clear cut, and... Robert Garcia? Not sure when he became a world beater...
I mean seriously, lets look at his competition before Floyd.
Angel Manfredy... 2 years after Floyd already KOed him 1 round Faster...
Justin Juko.... 1 year after Floyd already KOed him 1 round faster.
Derrick Gainer... decent win, not the best, but better than Manfredy and Juko.
Thats about it... None of them were world champions.
So now are we going to argue that Angel Manfredy was as dangerous as Vic Darchinyan?
Are we going to argue that Justin Juko was as dangerous as Fernando Monteil?
Are we going to argue that Derrik Gainer was any better or more acomplished than Nishioka?
He obviously can't stack up to Donaire from a Resume stand point.
He doesn't pass the eye test either. Nonito donaire is CLEARLY a much better fighter than Corrales. CLEARLY, he is of a much higher skill level, CLEARLY he is much faster, CLEARLY he moves much better, CLEARLY he is better defensively, CLEARLY he is better offensively.
Lets not delude ourselves.
Great points. Anyone big upping Corrales to make Floyd look better is a moron, and a **** rider, plain and simple.

Cotto hasn't been prime since 2008, past prime-still good since 2009. We'll see what he has left in his next fight. I refuse to take anyone serious who uses the terms "Flowmo".
By the way, how old are you and when did you start watching boxing??? Mayweather had wanted to fight Cotto in 2005-2006, to which Top Rank said no way. It was only when Floyd talked up retiring after Hatton, and than in early 08' did Top Rank try to say Floyd was ducking Cotto.
It amazes me that we know all these fights between Top Ranka nd Golden Boy never happen unless it's ordered by an organization, yet Floyd is accused of ducking these Top Rank fighters. But Pacquiao, Donaire aren't accused of ducking Golden Boy fighters hardly ever. It's truly amazing. People need to keep it 100.
And Cotto hadn't looked real good since 2007 in all honesty. He got stopped by Margarito, but we all know what was happening there. He struggled in his next big fight against Clottey, got smoked by Manny. Decided he couldn't make 147 anymore, looked good against Foreman at 154, but I mean....it was Foreman. Than looked good in the Margarito rematch, but Margarito had been done since Shane stopped him.
And Cotto was a fight Floyd needed on his resume, he was the best fight available at the time Floyd fought him, aside from Manny and Floyd, who both never wanted to fight at the same time it seemed.
