I mean seriously, lets look at his competition before Floyd.

Angel Manfredy... 2 years after Floyd already KOed him 1 round Faster...

Justin Juko.... 1 year after Floyd already KOed him 1 round faster.

Derrick Gainer... decent win, not the best, but better than Manfredy and Juko.

Thats about it... None of them were world champions.

So now are we going to argue that Angel Manfredy was as dangerous as Vic Darchinyan?

Are we going to argue that Justin Juko was as dangerous as Fernando Monteil?

Are we going to argue that Derrik Gainer was any better or more acomplished than Nishioka?

He obviously can't stack up to Donaire from a Resume stand point.

He doesn't pass the eye test either. Nonito donaire is CLEARLY a much better fighter than Corrales. CLEARLY, he is of a much higher skill level, CLEARLY he is much faster, CLEARLY he moves much better, CLEARLY he is better defensively, CLEARLY he is better offensively.

Who cares about moving up in weight man. Its about the competition you fight and nothing more. I never gave a **** about Vic, Montiel, Nishioka, or old ass Arce. Montiel is the best on his resume. Vic is just some wild swinging brawler. Corrales would have destroyed all of those dudes and he could catch and break down a high movement guy like Freitas something donaire showed he couldnt do against Rigo and Narvaez. Corrales beat Castillo a fighter better than anyone of Donaires resume.

I think in order to truly evaluate a resume, you have to put it in context. At the time, guys like Hatton, Baldomir, Judah etc....were supposed to be tough fights for Floyd.

Yes... Castillo, the man whos claim to fame is an upset of Stevie Johnston, a competitive fight with an injured Floyd, and a SD win over Casamayor..

This is a dumb statement.

Castillo has wins over Johnston, Bazan, Lazcano, Casamayor, Corrales, J. Diaz, and arguably a win over Floyd. He's the best Lightweight of his era. All of those fighters were Top ranked Lightweights when he fought them.
