Yeah, you and every other Donaire fan feels this way but the rest of us saw total domination and a BEAUTIFUL boxing clinic on display

You don't "run" for 12 rounds and get a decision against a P4P champ like Nonito Donaire... proof that you are delusional my friend

    • Donaire is right - he did enough to win..................two rounds. He just has memory loss for the other 10 rounds, lol.

Donaire, dude, you lost, get over it.
You're 100% correct. There's no way he could steal any of Manny fans. Manny is and forever the Philippines CHAMP. In defeat Manny is 100% CLASS!!!!

        • Donaire is delusional. He lost 11 rounds and would have lost the 10th if Rigondeaux hadn't gone down on a balance knockdown. He got schooled and quite nearly ko'd in the 12th. Donaire's litany of excuses--his shoulder, rigo didn't want to engage--are the scream of a near superstar coming to grips with the fact that his rise and reign are over--finito. He got exposed badly on Saturday night. He was the 2012 fighter of the year for four victories against 4 opponents who Bob Arum and Top Rank knew had almost no shot. Rigondeaux, however, was different. They worried about that guy-correctly. Rigondeaux was far from boring; he was dominant; he was brilliant; he reminded the world what boxing is all about--hit and don't get hit. It's fun to see two guys with some skill and a lot of heart (Rios/Alvarado) bash each other's heads in, but it's inspiring and awesome to see somebody that talented to simultaneously demolish the best and upend the system that built him. Donaire was fun while he lasted but Rigo is one of the greatest boxers of all time.

Agreed. Everything else you stated as well. He has been haunting every division he has 'dominated' by forcing himself to make weight, when in reality he is 1-2 weight classes above the guys he has fought. This fight was a master class taught by Rigo and Nonito is still struggling with his G.e.d.

No way Nonito won anymore than 2 rounds. I swear, at one point I think Rigo went between Donaire's legs, tapped him on the shoulder and punched him in the face when he turned around to see who it was.

Rigo made Pernell Whitaker look like ****in Forrest Whitaker with that masterpiece performance. Nonito is needs to get rid of the Amir Khan-style whiny excuses and learn why he just got spanked if he expects to be a champ again.

In reality, Uncle Bob will just buy him a new belt, vacated illegally by some organization (I'm looking at you WBC) against an unworthy opponent at Featherweight.

ALso, I don't understand the complaints of boredom and the claim of Rigo 'running'. I thought every round except a couple in the later half were very entertaining. I am a fan of the sport, but if you were a fan of violence only and not pure boxing, I guess you might not get it the same way.

You're reminding me of a particular moment that actually happened in the fight. I don't know what round it was in, but Rigo made some defensive move that I'd never seen before. It was like "El Chacal" had eyes in the back of his head. The man is impressive...if you know what you're looking at.

Rigondeaux is the boxing equivalent of jazz or classical. It's fine if you prefer rap -- your taste is your taste -- but please don't tell me Tupac is greater than Beethoven or Coltrane.

                    • No, you didn't. Rigo clearly won. Give the man his do.
