I hope everyone learned their lesson. Boxing isn't a game of power and chins.

It's a game of intelligence, preparation, dedication and skill. Then comes the physical gifts (power, speed, reflexes, etc.)

Don't act like you were never wrong in picking fights, so get off of your sorry ass high horse. Rigo won, and he surprised you too so stop frontin.

Picking winners and losers has nothing to do with boxing knowledge. If that was the case then we all don't know **** about boxing.

It's very easy to see why Donaire had a good chance at sparking him.Nobody underestimated Rigondeaux's boxing abilities, just his ability to take a punch. As much as he frustrated and shut Donaire down, he still took some clean hooks in there - and that's essentially how I expected the fight to end: Donaire knocking his **** in the dirt during an exchange.

I'm a Rigo fan and I picked Donaire by KO. I knew Rigondeaux was far more skilled, but I made the fatal error of putting way too much stock in Rigo's last fight. The way he was hurt and rocked by a lesser opponent made me come to the conclusion that Donaire would eventually catch him and his power would be too much. Boy was I wrong, and I'm happy I was. Another lesson learned - don't put too much stock in the fighters previous fight.

Anyone who actually though Rigodeaux actually wanted to knock Donaire out was wrong aswell, you must be one of those toffs who thought that fight was good to watch...
News flash that wont attract people to boxing.

This is true but don't think Rigo is unbeatable. I think the biggest mistake on Doanires part was giving Rigo too much respect.

If you look at the Marroquin fight, he came forward. Yes he was knocked down but he hurt Rigo twice because he was more aggressive.

Donaire thought he could box with Rigo and play his game, he was wrong. When Doanire pressured in the last 3 rounds, he did much better but it was too little too late.

Who knows what would have happened but I don't think Rigo is unbeatable, I think a rugged, strong chinned pressure fighter can give him trouble.

                  Leo Santa Cruz anyone?

I guess nowadays in nsb if the fighter you rooted for wins, your boxing knowledge goes up to level 9000
