I thought for sure that Donaire would knock out Rigondeaux

I had never watched Rigondeaux fight, so I had nothing to go buy. I really didnt care too much about his amatuer record. All I knew going into the fight was that Donaire was the bigger stronger puncher and he would have knocked out the smaller Rigondeaux just like he knocked out just about everyone else that he faught. Rigondeaux won the fight EASY and CLEARLY. The only round I gave Donaire was the round where he scored the knockdown. He just simply got outboxed by a smarter, sharper, more skilled opponent that apparently everybody either didnt know anything about or overlooked. Now that I have seen Rigondeaux, he reminds me of a young Azumah Nelson with his sharp crisp counters.

You should go tell Abner Mares that he doesn't know anything about boxing dude, along with all the other pro fighters who tipped Donaire to win.

I think most, like myself, weren't too sure how Rigo would handle a hard puncher like Donaire mainly based on his domination of prior opponents.

I'm sure most didn't consider matching Donaire's prior opponents' skills to Rigo's. Many believed he would just walk through Rigo based on his KO %.

Most were surprised by the boxing clinic Rigo put on. He made it appear effortless at times.

What I find amazing is the amount of 'experts' who picked Nonito for the win. It seems like the fans actually had more faith in Rigo winning the fight as polls around here showed predictions were pretty tight. Most of these so called writers instead of being gracious in defeat are conjuring every excuse in the book for the pinoy instead of giving Rigo his dues.

donaire had to fight out of his element and be more of an aggresor then usual, same as marquez getting schooled by floyd. i picked donaire to win simply because i thought he would find more oppurtunities and crack him, but he didnt and he looked sluggish. nothing to do with lack of knowledge in boxing. james toney among other people picked donaire to k.o rigo.do they lack boxing knowledge. out of everyone freddie roach picked rigo to win and half the people on here say freddie doesnt know boxing.lol

Every Rigondeaux fans are gloating. However I, unlike others, wanted to find out how skilled was Rigondeaux against Donaire. Rigondeaux proved too slick.

However Donaire looked terrible and I think he didn't have a proper plan against Rigondeaux. It was ****** to go for looking KO against skilled boxer.

James Toney picked Donaire by knock out, but you’re right if you think Donaire stood a chance you don’t know **** about boxing. James Toney obviously doesn’t.

For this fight I didn’t pick, I knew Rigo gets stopped or if it went 12 he would win.

But what we have seen before was Rigo get hurt ad almost stopped by lesser fighters, and even in this fight he got hit with huge shots and his chin was great but this idiot TC thinks people are ****** for saying Rigo could get knocked out? Were people wrong in thinking his chin was suspect?

Would you be talking all great now if the shot Donaire hit Rigo with in the 10th actually stopped him?

And all the other guys on here not actually defending you reasoning on why you thought this fight was a toss up are idiots as well. And if there ever is a rematch I would still see the fight as a toss up, Rigo outboxes Donaire or Donaire stops Rigo, Rigo can stop Donaire as well.

Well I gotta be honest I thought Nonito was gonna knock Rigo out. That was my only way of seeing him win. If Rigo won I know he would have done it just like that. I like both but I'm actually more of a Rigo fan and I honestly didn't think he would win. The Cuban program is great, I didn't underestimate it, I just didn't see the man winning. Boy was I wrong!!! El Chacal!!! Lol good **** Saturday night, I love boxing. Gotta love everything about boxing and all the styles of it. Not every baseball game is a slugfest and when you got an ace on the mound winning a 1-0 game, it's equally as exciting to me as the 8-7 game with home runs up the ass.

What the hell is there to feel bad about, you had a solid prediction, and were wrong, this TC is a idiot, he’s basically telling you guys are idiots for thinking that Donaire a top 5 p4p had a chance of winning this fight, and even though he has incredible power we should know that Rigo a man who has been hurt several times in his career couldn’t be hurt by Donaires power. Rigo outboxed the hell out of Donaire but he did take a few solid shots that surprised most of us here and I’m sure surprised the TC himself.

Let's look back in your post history and discredit your boxing knowledge for every fight you picked wrong. In other words. Stfu.
