    Ohhh wow.!

I was expecting more hate from the 'Marquez' fans but 'Mayweather' fans are really trying to crap on our parade huh?

Maybe they're sour that ol' Rog' couldn't keep up on the mitts with Rigo?

That makes him the most skilled fighter of all time? The aforementioned facts would suggest otherwise. Nonito is just one fighter. I'm not denying he's skilled but stop overrating him. He's not even the best technical fighter in the game - Mayweather is (well, you could argue he isn't anymore at his age but even so he was better a few years ago at the very least imo and is probably still better).

Rigo is 32. He is at the age where most fighters have had a long career and we start to asses where they stack up in the grand scheme of things.

Last night, Rigo got himself a win that would be career defining for ANY fighter in the game today. It is probably the most significant win and performance of the last 20 years.

He doesn't have the build up of lots of fights against really good fighters, because of circumstance, but he has the career defining win against a great hall of fame fighter in Donaire.

Its a win on the level of Whitaker vs Chavez (although that was draw :-/ )
Its a win on the level of Duran vs Leonard
Its a win on the level of Leonard vs Hearns

Rigondeaux was forced to spend his prime in the amateurs. Realistically, like Muhammad Ali, he was forced by Politics to sit out his prime years even in the amateurs.

He proved that his skill and greatness with last nights performance. It ranks up there in quality with any win by any fighter, and I feel serves as an adequate bench mark to rank Guillermo Rigondeaux's quality in terms of all time greatness.

He might not be the best fighter of all time, I'd still have a hard time seeing him coming out over Duran, but skill wise I am comfortable saying he has no equal.
            Good lord...

I said Darchinyan cause who else is there to pressure Rigo? There's plenty of opponents for him but who can pressure him like you want? He can fight Romero (who didn't show up to their amateur figh), Frampton, Quigg, maybe Mathebula and Terrazas/Mijares. But none of these guys will pressure him at an "elite level".

I think he could do 126. But with that said, you're right he isn't big at all for 122. He walks around at 124 ish correct? He's a solid 122 Lber but I think Rigondeaux could make noise at 126 don't you?

I don't see what's left for him at 122. He can clean it out. But he just beat Nonito Donaire. What else is left to do? No one's going to beat him at 122.

He's going to be the smaller man but I'd like to see him at 126. Maybe have a tune up and see how he handles the weight.

The funny thing about this is that I'm not a Mayweather fan - I ****ing hate the guy - but my god do I appreciate the guys skills.

Tell me about it. It's not the most significant win in the last year. I'd give it second.

I want to see how Rigondeaux deals with things when he's forced to be under pressure or out his comfort zone.

                    We haven't seen it yet.
Just because you are unwilling to watch, does not mean he has not already demonstrated this ability.

The man cannot be trapped, his feet are too good.
