I'll say it... Guillermo Rigondeaux is probaby the most skilled boxer of all time.

Rigondeaux did what he should have done and he played to his strengths not his fault Donaire had no answers for what he was doing.

Nonito is not the most skilled boxer though, he was fast and powerful but while speed and power are great things to have they can be negated if a guy knows how to control the fight.

It is the logical extension of the Narvaez fight really, a bit more athletic, a bit more skillful and just better overall. You watch that fight you could see someone like that giving Nonito issues~

My money was on Donaire so I am not going to act like I saw it coming but what Rigondeaux did was the risk in the bet and that was why it was an interesting fight going in because it was unknown that Rigondeaux could do that to that level of fighter.

Great win for him, though don't go overboard.

Chico was able to hang with Joel who was a brilliant amateur talent much in the mold of Guillermo. His wins over Casamayor, Garcia, Manfredy, Freitas, and Castillo can not and should not be ignored.

Yes his win over Casamayor was great for him. I personally thought Casamayor deserved all 3 fights, but still good performances by him.

Im not knocking him. Hes just not a Donaire level fighter.

I kinda agree with the TS, as far as the eye test goes rigo is definitely one of the best technical fighters I have ever seen, I don't imagine he will get beat by anyone anytime soon.

With last nights performance I am going to put it out there that Rigondeaux is probably the most skilled boxer to ever step into the ring.

We just saw a 32 year old fighter on the downside of his prime dismantle a top 5 p4p fighter in his prime.

I am not saying he is unbeatable, he still has to prove that against a fighter who can take his punches and is willing to eat them to deliver their own like a Roberto Duran, but skill wise I think it can now be argued that he is without equal.

The closest I can think of is maybe Pernell Whitaker, but Rigo is equally slick, is better at controlling the pace of fights, and is more precise with his punches.

It's a great win by Rigo, but come on now let's not go overboard.

I'd say that Rigo is probably the best boxer I have seen, heck I'm really contemplating put him on the same level or higher than Floyd Mayweather.
