Marquez took the short money 4 times already even though he felt the superior fighter, If Manny REALLY wants PAYBACK then he needs to take a PAYCUT! At least % wise, i say that because the 5th fight would do bigger numbers now imo.

Also any of these issues sound familiar!?? Pac is a complete hypocrite and so are his delusional fan boys
I'm with you man. Yes Pac brings more buys, but he got KTFOed and should be willing to take a paycut. And exactly right, 5 would be huge, and 50% of huge + chance at revenge > 80% of a fight half as big.

Also, it's possible JMM has become a legit PPV star himself after 4. His profile sure has grown, and he's gotta have all of Mexico behind him.

"My gut instinct on what is next? I want it to be Marquez, Manny wants Marquez, but Marquez wants a lot, lot, lot of money," Roach (seen with Pacquiao in above Chris Farina-Top Rank photo, before the fourth bout) told me. "I think it's a little outrageous. It may not happen. We might have to go to Mike Alvarado or Brandon Rios or a Tim Bradley rematch could be made. I want Marquez right away, Manny and I both want it. But Marquez wants just about a 50-50 split. Manny brings butts in seats, pay-per-view-wise, Manny is the guy. Obviously Manny deserves more. I think a rematch will make a lot more money than the last fight. I think both sides can ask for more and Marquez deserves something, but not 50-50."
This is a fight where Arum and Roach are worried about their pockets. If Pac truly wants revenge, and he does, he will tell Arum to give Marquez what he wants so that he can erase the face first ko that embarrassed himself and his fans.

Manny and his team want the fight and it is going to cost them 50/50. Pac needs this fight more than Marquez needs it but it is the biggest money fight out there for both guys

Isn't this the same thing that happened with Oscar and Floyd rematch? Floyd wanted a 50/50 but Oscar didn't want to give him that much so the fight didn't happen?

I was at 3 and it was pro JMM and you see crowd cheering JMM after he KO'd pac. JMM will be fine without Pac. Hes a bigtime star now. I think its 50/50 and if not he can make cash against another fighter if Arum doesnt screw him. Which he will.

In reality, when making a fight like this, you take the star power of BOTH fighters and what they bring to the table in terms of money.

Pac is without a doubt a bigger star than JMM, there's no dis*****g that. He's a world wide icon in the sport and has been making huge paydays for along time.

I think 50/50 is fair but I can understand when Roach says that it isn't fair because Manny is going to bring the bulk of the viewership.

It may not be something fans like or even understand but it's the way it is.
I understand this. My point is simply: Bob Arum & Pacquiao are hot on the rematch. JMM states he does not want it(whether or not he's being honest is a debate). If you take that at face value, I would say then if I'm JMM I make my demands at the neighborhood of 50-50 & no Asia location take it or leave it.
If Pacquiao does not want that he can go fight Bradley and try and see if he can even hit 900k buys that the first one did.

LOL outrageous? Lucky for Pac that Marquez is not asking for 55-45 or 60-40 like he deserves.

Out of the 4 fights there has been 1 clear victory, and before the 4th fight both said it would be the last and that it would be settled via KO.

It was settled by KO,it just so happened to be Manny who was KO'd,so the war is over, but if Team Pacquiao wants to crank it back up then they have to pay Marquez who has no reason at all to fight Manny ever again.
