But we already know that fight isn't going to happen. Floyd is going to let Sergio get old, and we miss out on another potentially great, yet risky(for floyd) fight.

    History repeats itself.
Martinez is contractually tied to HBO. Mayweather is contractually tied to Showtime. A fight between them will not be happening. Unless there was some sort of contract buyout, which is also not happening.

LOL @ Guerrero being just as versatile as Cotto. Guerrero is not even in the same league as Cotto, and should they square off, Cotto would dominate. Dude is not in the same league as Cotto, nor does he have the experience Cotto has. Look at all the fighters Cotto has faced, defeated, and lost to. And compare that with Guerrero's resume.

And what does any of this have to do with the thread at hand~
margarito was ranked #1 for over 3 years, then he lost and dropped a bit, then came back and regained his #1 spot. guerrero's been ranked #3 for a couple months. sounds a lot different to me. margarito beat 5 or 6 top 10 ranked fighters, guerrero beat 1 and barely. sounds a lot different to me. now which guy is floyd fighting....

Guerrero has beat 2 top ten guys and won clearly~ who are these top ten guys which one accomplished the most Six Head Lewis? Lujan? You dog dudes all the time for beating soft top ten guys why does Margarito get a pass from you?

Cotto is the one guy and I don't think he is that much better than Guerrero.

Anyways I don't care because I made my point Guerrero even if you don't think he is good or has a chance is not a terrible fighter or terrible in comparison to the rest of the current 147 division.

Since you had to go to the past I know you can't make that argument~ so keep on living in the past. So my point stands and all this bullshit doesn't refute it or have anything to do with it.

Can you name these elite fighters?

I think the Ghost will have a good boxing game plan ready for Floyd and I also think Floyd knows this too.

Floyd is out of character because he knows this will be a fight at that perfect time in his career against the "right" kind of fighter to end it all....good inside, bigger, pretty strong, durable, strong-willed and versatile. His dad hopefully will provide the defensive advantage needed to win the points because he isn't going to KO the Ghost...despite what others have said.

                    Mauled by guerrero?

He will school Guerrero on the inside.

berto wasn't in the top 10. he was dropped from the rankings. margarito was like golovking. none of the "elite" guys wanted him so he destroyed everyone else he could get his hands on. you still don't understand this concept. some guys don't get to choose opponents. some guys like floyd do. remember when margarito tried to get a floyd fight? denied! fought baldomir for less money. margarito's resume at ww is certainly a hell of a lot better than floyd's. he was forced to take all the tough fights to get noticed. floyd "silver spoon" mayweather strolled in and cherry picked his way to stardom. it wouldn't be so bad if he decided to stop cherry picking now that he has the popularity but he still does it. even if he loses people will still buy his fights. oscar lost all the time.
