I guess....Cotto is past his prime, has a shorter reach than Guerrero, is shorter than Guerrero and won more than a few rounds against Floyd. The Ghost is younger, hungrier and just as versatile as Cotto.

We'll see but Floyd isn't like one of these "wine" boxers, he isn't getting better with age.

Do you know what terrible means? Even if you don't think he is that good he isn't terrible~

Can you ever shoot straight and not blow everything out of all proportion.

I can't ever take a guy who thinks Calzaghe was a bum for real.....Calzaghe decimated all of his comp while being high on coke, that is beyond baller, that is legendary.

ok he's not terrible, but he's terrible compared to elite fighters which floyd doesn't want to fight. i'm sure guerrero is great compared to eric crumble.

Well if we're going to compare cotto and guerrero..

Guerrero is nowhere near as strong as cotto and has nowhere near as much power.

Because of this power deficit, it also means he's inferior to cotto when fighting on the inside.

Also, Cotto is not known for his speed, but Cotto's hand speed and foot speed is easily superior to guerrero's.

Not at 147 he isn't~ and he really isn't to far below the guys at 154 if we are just looking at abilities.

Still 147 isn't a good class and 154 has some talent but it is not like those talents don't have question marks, so it is not like that is saying much.

It would be cool if some better dudes existed, but sadly they don't. Unless you are talking middleweights~ which is usually not a kind weight class for guys who started at 147 let alone guys who started much further below.

I don't agree with your assessment of those events and Margarito is not in a vastly different league of fighter than Guerrero or those other guys.

And what does any of this have to do with the thread at hand~

There's also nothing stopping Floyd from Fighting Martinez now at 154.

Martinez even offered to fight him at a 150 catchweight.

But we already know that fight isn't going to happen. Floyd is going to let Sergio get old, and we miss out on another potentially great, yet risky(for floyd) fight.

                      History repeats itself.
