Ward and Floyd are clearly the top 2 for me, but I have to say, in Rigondeaux Donaire is facing a major risk to his status in the sport and a lot of people are going to have to revise their opinion of him upwards should he pass the test.

Depending on how Sergio looks against Murray, I could imagine Donaire moving to #3. To go any higher I think he has to make big waves at 126. He's already in his fourth weight class though so that might be asking a lot.

It's easy to stay undefeated when you rarely fight and when you do you don't even fight the best. Not only does Donaire fight a lot, he fights the best and will show the whole world how great he is on April 13.

Pretty much, anyone who says Donaire needs to put in more work hasn't been paying attention.

It depends how good it connects. If it connects like it did with Darchinyan, Montiel or Arce, then its over for them.

He didnt fight the best. Arce and Naervez had no chance to defeat nonito given the style they fight and the size differential going into the fight. That doesn't mean Nonito doesn't deserve credit for winning all 4 fights and he earned FOTY.

Jorge Arce is one of the greatest fighters from Mexico to ever get into the boxing ring. Mexicans are warriors and would rather die in the ring than lose, so Donaire's victory over him was a really hard fought.

huh? ARce's past and mexico's boxing pedigree had absolutely no bearing on the donaire/arce fight. ARce got KTFO easily. Thats why he was such a huge underdog and thats why bob made the fight when he did.

                  That's a big "if."

If Marquez had landed that counter-right on Floyd like he did on Manny, he would've probably knocked Mayweather out cold, too.

Then Mayweather, he has even more skill and ability to adjust to any style than Ward.

Those two are the clear #1 and #2 in the eyes of 90%.

Pacquiao leftovers? Mayweather has fought Oscar (before Pac), Hatton (before Pac), Mosley (before Pac), Marquez (who iced Pac).....
when was kessler ever a p4p fighter?..answer is never..dawson would've been a great win had ward fought him at 175 but instaed dawson came down something he had not made in 6 years...and abraham is C level fighter

after that who else?..bika in which he struggled, green and that bum miranda.. lol

ward has a decent resume for someone new to the p4p rankings but aint no way , shape or form better than nonito's at all ...

Easy? Then how come there's only one Floyd Mayweather?

I'm not even a Mayweather fan, but I'm not about to pretend what the guy does is even remotely "easy."
