I think Donaire is a very good fighter, but I must be the only one who thinks that Donaire hasn't had the greatest of competition due to his weight class. That keeps me from putting him above the Wards and Mayweathers of the world.

If we were to measure skill level alone, Rigo is better than anyone floyd has ever fought in his career.

Who had a better year or harder resume than Donaire in 2012? Put in work? You can argue he's put in the most work.

I would still have Floyd and Ward as #1 and #2 but Donaire is up there.

For me if you fight 4 times in one year, that's much much tougher than fighting once or even 2 times a year. Your practically training non-stop for the whole year and putting your body through extreme punishment by making weight 4 times.

Actually, I can agree with this. But skill is just one component of a fighter. Rigo needs to be tested at the pro level. And Donaire hasn't beat Rigo yet...(I say yet with great caution)

They're both about to be tested in 2 weeks. That's why this fight is so significant.

I always put money on fights to make it more interesting but I'm not putting any money on donaire rigo just because I have no idea how it's going to go down.

Even if he beats Rigo that doesn't make him a better fighter than Ward or Floyd. Sure he belongs on the P4P list but #1 or even 2? Not at all. H2H Donaire doesn't beat Mayweather or Ward.

Ward and Mayweather remain easily the top 2, in whatever order you prefer. They are simply FAR more skilled, well rounded and capable of many more things. Donaire is good, but he's got work to do before even getting above Martinez and Marquez, let alone the two clear best P4P fighters.

If I were to envision Donaire as a natural 160 pounder, I think a fight with Sergio would be interesting. I don't see Nonito beating JMM, Ward or Mayweather in their respective classes. The guy is good, top four or five P4P (if you don't include Wlad), but numero uno? Uh uh.

Ward has already easily beat Froch, Kessler and Dawson....that is 3 elite, pound-for-pound level fighters. It's not just a great resume, it's the skill-set, Ward can do everything and fight in any style.

Then Mayweather, he has even more skill and ability to adjust to any style than Ward.

Those two are the clear #1 and #2 in the eyes of 90%.
