No, they didn't. You are making things up.

They probably did, just not on the next available HBO date.

Fact is Golovkin is ranked #2 at MW. Martinez is Champion and Geale is #1. This is similar to say, Nonito Donaire vs Rigondeaux, people sais, "oh who has Rigo foght blah blah blah." the difference of course is Donaire is willing to take on the best.

Maybe try to break Hopkins' record.
Hopkins fought 154 pounders during his reign. Guys like John David Jackson and Simon Brown.

No. Quillin said he wanted the fight to be "built up" first. Chavez has not even mentioned GGG, and Geale gave up the WBA belt rather than fight GGG.

They don't want to fight him.

What's your point? Hopkins fought everyone at 160 too.

He fought a guy who had like 14 or 15 professional fights, zero ranking at middleweight, let alone by the WBA for his title fight. Then he fought Kassim Ouma in his first defense, then Simon who was coming off of a lose prior to facing GG. After that he fought another guy with like 7 losses and wasn't ranked, then he fought a southpaw on HBO, then Rosado and Ishida, two Jr. Middleweights, neither ranked at middle weight, neither ranked by the WBA. Quillin, Geale and Chavez all said they'd fight GGG. They're not so quick to make those fights, they keep screaming Martinez but this guy has yet to fight a TOP 10 fighter. You can't find one on his resume. Hell, he could even fight the likes of Brian Vera or Andy Lee, at least those guys are ranked in the top 20, or even Rubio, Sturm or Macklin. Lemeiux is still there, so is Fernando Guerrero, Anthony Mundine and the guy Quillin beat for his title. Give me one damn fighter in the Top 20 and I'll be satisfied. Robert Guerrero isn't deserving of a fight with Mayweather in my opinion, but **** at least he fought two top 20 guys.
                lol they're all ducking him.

and yet there are still people who hate on him....if donaire beats rigondeaux then he should definitely be ranked above martinez.

A lot of people on here claim to be boxing fans but know nothing. If a boxer has 1 of the major alphabet titles GGG (has the WBA full title since geale was stripped of super title) The "He's high risk no reward" excuse is NULL AND VOID. I can understand if GGG has no fan base and no title, then there is truly nothing to gain from fighting him. Prize fights are fought for either two reasons and most times both 1) For money! Pac fought Marquez for a 4th time with NO title on the line because it represented $$$$ 2) To prove who the best in the division is, Sometimes known as unification fights!

So yes GGG can't sell out a hooters restaurant, but he holds a belt and qualifies for the reason #2 which is to prove who the best in the division is. I can't blame Sergio for fighting a Chavez rematch because right now making millions is more important to him than proving who the best in the division is, but if he does fight Chavez and doesn't retire his fight after that should be GGG.

This is the same reason I used to call Donaire a ducker before the fight was made with Rigo, because you can't say a fighter doesn't deserve to be in the ring with you if he holds a major title (I don't care if that fighter only has 5 pro fights)

Making things up? Sir, Quillin did say he'd fight GGG, but he felt he needed to build his name more. Geale did say he would fight GGG, but had the opportunity to avenge his defeat against Mundine. And Chavez said he would actually face GGG later this year if it were possible. I don't have to make ish up guy...
