golovking has basically retired martinez, quillin, sturm, geale, barker, macklin, and more. what they are doing isn't boxing. it's another sport called ducking and they are damn good at it.
Think you're the only one saying he should move to 168 which ain't gonna happen or shouldn't happen at least. He's already knocked bute spark out in the amatuers so I know who I'd bet on in that fight.
That's what i mean, he has already proven that he can beat the guys there and if no one at 160 will face him, what would you rather see him do: sit on the sidelines waiting and missing out on his big shot or move up and beat guys that he has already proven that he can beat?
I see nothing but upside for him by doing that. Say all the 160 guys want nothing do do with him and he stays hidden in obscurity the remainder of his career, how is that any good for him?

That may very well be the case but how does it help Golovkin's career?
This makes a lot of sense as why to avoid the top guy in your division.....wait no its not
So it's better for Golovkin to stay in a division where it is obvious that the competition is terrified to face him and he will never get to shine than it is to try to secure a fight with top guys at 168 that he has already KO'd before?
Golovkin and his team can spend their remaining years pointing out how no one would fight him, which may very well prove to be true but that won't secure Golovkin his title shots, fame or recognition.
Golovkin could just go the Hopkins route and defend his title 20 times before a dumb welterweight star thinks he's shot and gives him the chance. I mean, it made Hopkins a legend.

I don't think that would be good for him fighting ward, kessler or froch, 160 is his division he should stay put, 168 is not an option. If the top middleweights are too scared to fight him it really is too bad.
