My nephew and brother are like that, they are naturally skinny and toned. I wasn't blessed with that, I have to work hard for my physique.

I agree on Arreola but I brought up guys like Juan Diaz because his work ethic is legendary but he looks out of shape if you look at his body and he's not.
I agree not everyone has the genetics to be shredded, but there is a difference between not being cut and having rolls of fat.

To be honest there is pretty much no-one outside of heavyweight who i would accuse of coming in out of shape. I've been in the gym enough to see how hard people work to make weight.

Man, Solis is a disgrace. Its like he has no ambition at all. How can he hope to get anywhere close to a HW championship if he can't count his calories or get into anything resembling athletic shape.

Admittedly bodybuilding is part of what I do for a living, but I just don't know how any athlete can feel comfortable being a fat b@stard. It's bad enough being that fat at any point, but showing up on fight night looking that way is flat out pathetic.
Look at those O-linemen in football....ughhhh.
Especially Terrance Cody when he got drafted.

I mean, that's not all football players.... but him and Jamarcus Russell make me sick.
What kind of QB is the size of a lineman?
Biggest waste of a number 1 pick

Boxing is not a bikini- or weight lifting contest.

Doesn't matter what they look like aesthetically, what matters is their cardio. You can look soft and be in shape, again GENETICS.

Julio Cesar Chavez Sr wasn't the most cut up guy, he wasn't soft but it wasn't like he was solid muscle. Yet he hit hard, was in great shape and was strong as an ox.

People are different, and making the leap that because someone is soft in the middle means they are a disgrace, is wrong on so many levels. Some are, some are not, it depends on the individual.

It's not a pie eating contest either.

I never said you had to be in tremendous shape, I said it is pathetic to show up as a fat b@stard with flab hanging over your shorts. Pro athletes should be exactly that, athletes. Being too lazy to do the work is unprofessional, shows a lack of respect to the sport/fans and as I said, I find it pathetic.

Never really thought Titty Arreola had any talent to waste, to be honest.

People are blaming genetics now? No one is asking them to come in looking like Holyfield, but don't fcking come in looking like a gassed, wheezing hippo. a waste of EVERYONE's time.

why aren't they training year round anyways? its like they dont want to get better or get in better shape

This right here is the answer for OP. They DO loose weight during training camp but when your starting point is like the above, that is why they still are fat after a 2 month training camp.

And genetics is no excuse. Tyson had a brother die in his 30s due to obesity and we seen how he ballooned up when he wasnt training anymore in his 40's. But he never got fat between fights in his prime because he still trained regardless if he had a fight scheduled or not.

These guys just eat junk and dont even train inbetween fights.
